Create a Fall Birthday card with Borders

Do you like using border dies or punches? I do! Hey there, I'm here today with a Fall Birthday Card project for CutCardStock using border dies.

I am using four different card stocks, three of which are part of this month’s Monthly Specials.

Cougar Natural Card Stock for my 5″ x 6-1/2″ card base; DCS Canvas Textured Adobo OrangeDCS Textured Flame Tree Orange and Pop Tone Orange Fizz for borders.

Cut five 2″ x 5-3/4″ strips of the orange card stocks.

Die cut each of the five pieces cut above with a curved border die along the lower edge.

Cut a sentiment out of natural card stock.

Next, cut pieces of Cougar Natural Card Stock to 3-1/2″ x 5-3/4″ and Adobo Orange Card Stock to 5-1/2″ x 4″.

Adhere the border pieces to the natural card stock. Start at the bottom and work up, overlapping and spacing evenly.

Trim away the bottom of the natural colored panel to follow the curve of the border.

Once all border pieces are added, mat with the 5-1/2″ x 4″ piece of

Adhere the sentiment, ribbon and bow.

Add the border panel to the a 5″ x 6-1/2″ Cougar Natural Card Stock card base.
