Easy Layered Baby Cards
Today I’m sharing this adorable layered baby card featuring the sweetest little elephant from Pajama Crafter Stamps! I paired the image with soft spring plaid papers and layered die cuts to create a cheerful design perfect for welcoming a new baby.
Card Base
The card starts with a scalloped, die cut card base. A piece of paper from the Spring Plaid 6×6 Paper Pack is cut slightly smaller for matting.
Next, I stamp the cute elephant from Savanna Babies Stamps, color with Prismacolor pencils and fussy cut.
More die cutting is done for the card layering to include 4 banners using the Banner Die Set and 2 circles. One cut with the Circle Peek A Boo Die and a smaller one cut with a stitched die from my stash.
Putting it all Together
I adhere the 4 banners to frame the focal point and give the card lots of dimension and movement.
The soft green layer helps the sweet baby elephant image stand out while keeping the design light and playful. I finished the card with a few Daffodil Confetti Embellishments for a touch of shine and extra sweetness.

Stamping the Main Design
Stamp the clock and music image onto Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock using black ink.
Color the roses, vines, and top hat using alcohol markers or colored pencils. Rich reds paired with soft greens and shaded grays really make the images pop against the crisp white background.
Start by trimming a piece of Pop Tone Wild Cherry Cardstock to 6 1/2 x 10 inches. Score at 5 inches along the 10 inch side. Fold and burnish to create a 5 x 6 1/2 inch card base.
Next, trim a panel of Bright Foil 10pt Silver Cardstock measuring 4 3/4 x 6 1/4 inches.
Trim the white panel with stamping to 4 5/8 x 6 1/8 inches. Stamp the sentiment near the bottom.
Adhere the white panel with stamping to the silver panel. add to the card base. Add 3 black sequins to the top left to complete the card.
Creating the Coordinating Envelope
To coordinate with the card, create a handmade envelope using DCS Black Cardstock. Trim a piece of 12 x12 inches to 9 3/8 x 9 3/8 inches for a 5 x 6 1/2 inch envelope.
Using an envelope punch board, align the left side of cardstock to 4 1/8 inches. Punch and score on envelope score line A. Rotate 90 degrees, align score mark with envelope score groove. Repeat 2 more times. Round corners. Fold and glue.
Stamp, color and fussy cut a rose image. Add stamping and heat embossing of some music notes onto the front of the envelope.
Adhere the clock die cut to the front of the envelope. Layer the colored rose image in the center.
The bold black background makes the red rose stand out beautifully and ties the entire project together.
Final Thoughts
I love how elegant and dramatic this project turned out! The combination of rich CutCardStock colors, detailed stamping, and layered embellishments creates a timeless handmade card and envelope set that feels extra special.

Bring a little buzz-worthy charm to your home décor with this adorable beehive project created with products from Clear Scraps!
This layered piece combines patterned papers, sparkle, dimensional florals, and a sweet shaker bee accent for a cheerful farmhouse-inspired decoration perfect for spring and beyond.
2 products from Clear Scraps are used for this project, Medium Beehive Shiplap Shape & Mini Shaker Bee.
The star of the project is the adorable Mini Shaker Bee. Color was added to the outer chip form with a black sparkle pen.
Assemble the shaker by adhering 2 of the form pieces to the back.
Add glitter and sequins.
To embellish the top corner, a seam binding bow was added.
I created a dimensional paper flower using coordinating cardstock and added a gem center for a pop of shine. A few leaves tucked underneath complete the floral cluster beautifully.
