Hello Spring Card

Happy Saturday!
Any special plans for the weekend?
I'm looking forward to going for a visit with my grandson!
He's 3 months old today and oh so cute!

Has spring arrived where you live?
Here in the Denver, Colorado metro area we get
a few days of warm weather and then a few with snow, like today!
That's just the way it goes around here this time of year.
And I'm so ready for it to stay warm.
So I created a spring themed card with a country twist to share for
one of my DT inspiration projects this month for

I colored this digi with Prismacolor Pencils and fussy cut.
My card is a side step style I made with kraft card stock.
I added a burlap look patterned paper for the background.
A border and circle frame were die cut and placed behind the image.
I added white punched borders on the side with punched butterflies.
Color was added to the butterflies with ink.
The "Hello Spring" sentiment was stamped.

I hope you'll check out this digi and all the others available

And don't miss out on more inspiration over on Facebook

Have a great weekend!

Canvas Art

Hey there! I'm here with you today sharing a canvas art project created for CutCardStock.

Although I don’t do projects like this very often, I do enjoy them. They can get a little messy and that’s fun every once and a while, don’t you think?

I started out with a 9 x 12 inch white canvas. The edges were painted with acrylic paint.

Next, I took a piece of patterned paper that coordinates with the purple card stocks I chose to use, cut to 9 x 12 inches and tore the edges all the way around. This piece is adhered to the canvas with decoupage medium.

To add some texture I used a “swirls” stencil and white metallic texture paste. This was applied with a palette knife.

Another layer of texture was added by taking a piece of Basis WHITE 80lb Cardstockand embossing with a brick embossing folder. I added some ink randomly and tore into strips. These were adhered.

Butterflies, flowers and leaves were die cut out of Black DCS Discount Card StockHydrangea Purple Discount Card StockBazzill Linen Texture LAVENDER TwilightPop Tone GRAPE Card StockPop Tone GUM DROP GREEN Card Stock.

A little more color was added to some pieces with stamping ink. I added some spots on the black butterfly pieces with a white gel pen.

Some of the punched and die cut pieces were layered and added to the canvas.

I added glitter dots to the flower centers.

At this point I decided I thought I needed to add a little more so I die cut some more flowers and words.

I also decided to add a few more pieces of the embossed brick.

These pieces were added, along with a little bit of twine and gem flourishes, to complete my design.

I’ve enjoyed sharing this project with you and hope I’ve given you a little inspiration.

As always, we would love for you to connect with us over on the CutCardStock Facebook Page and out the Facebook Group Creating with Card Stock for more inspiration.

I colored this beauty with Prismacolor Pencils and fussy cut.

My card background was created by blending 3 colors of blue
Sparkle Pens on water color paper for my ocean.
I splattered a little water to achieve a "bubble" effect.
I used a Rose Quartz Sparkle Pen for the ocean floor
The other elements were die cut and colored with stamping inks and glitter gel pens.
I printed the sentiment on white card stock and cut with an oval die.
Rosealea was popped with foam tape onto the background.
I layered the background onto a base of blue glitter card.

Special Day Explosion Box

Happy Saturday!
It's time for this week's

The DT was asked to create an interactive card for this week's challenge.
I chose to make an explosion box card. The outside is decorated with
colored florals and papers from
I wanted a little height on the box lid so I created a rosette to go beneath
the flowers, which I layered with foam tape.
The papers on the inside of my box are the same as the outside.

I formed another rosette and stood Winnie from
3 punched butterflies with pearl embellishment were added.
The sentiments used on the outside and inside are from the
A "Happy Birthday" die cut was added to circle the sentiment inside.

I loved putting this explosion box together!

Hearts and Flowers Slimline Card

Happy Saturday!
Popping in this afternoon with a card created for

I've used a new clear stamp set called

My card measures 4 x 9 inches.
The base was made by cutting a piece of 8 1/2 x 11 inch card stock to
8 x 9 inches and scoring and folding at 4 inches along the 8 inch side.

I used 3 of the stamps in the set, stamping the multi flower and
heart stamp 3 times and the leaves stamp 5 times for the focal.
The sentiment stamp was stamped near the bottom.
All of this was done on white card stock and cut down to
approximately 3 3/4 x 8 3/4 inches, leaving plain white on the left side.
I stamped and fussy cut a single flower with another stamp from the set for embellishment.
All the stamped images were colored with Castle Arts Pencils.
Twine was wrapped around the white of the stamped piece area 3 times and adhered
to the back of the white card stock. I tied another piece of twine, to cinch in
the wrapped twine and attached the single flower over the knot.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at my project!
Hope your weekend is great!
