Metallic Card Stock & Metallic Markers

Hey there!I'm here today with a card project put together for CutCardStock.

We are quickly approaching Father’s Day, so I thought a card for that occasion would be appropriate. And, I thought I would use Stardream Metallic Card Stock as it’s the Monthly Special for May

If you have not used these card stocks, you have to try them. They are beautiful and, believe it or not, you can use many different coloring mediums on them! I am using metallic markers this time around and a little bit of white stamp pad.

This project was started by using a 5 x 7 inch 3D embossing folder to emboss on a piece of Sapphire Blue Stardream Metallic Card Stock.

Next I used a finger dauber and white ink from a stamp pad to “color” in the raised cloud areas of the embossing. I used a light pouncing motion.

The balloons were colored nest with Spectrum Noir Metallic Markers. Glitter gel pens were also used in smaller areas.

Once all the coloring is done it’s time to assemble the card.

I used a 7 x 10 inch piece of Basis Blue Card Stock, scored at 5 along the 10 inch side and folded in half. This makes a 5 x7 inch card base. A piece of Silver Stardream Metallic Card Stock was cut to 4 3/4 x 6 3/4 inches. The embossed panel was trimmed to slightly smaller than the silver and matted. Center onto the blue card base.

All that’s left is to add a sentiment.

I die cut Happy Father’s Day on a scrap of the Basis Blue Card Stock, backed with the Silver Stardream Metallic and fussy cut for a shadow effect.

Adhere the sentiment to the card and we’re done!

I am happy with the way metallic marker coloring turned out on

Butterfly Daisy

Hello there!

Today I'm sharing a card created for

I am using Butterfly Daisy.

I colored the digi with Altenew Woodless Coloring Pencils and fussy cut.
The background of the card was created with
a printed panel from a 12 x 12 paper pad in my stash.
I cut out the white circle center of this panel and
placed a piece of blue card stock behind.
Grass was die cut and placed between the panel and the blue card stock.
I popped the digi with foam tape.
Clouds were die cut out of white card stock.
The sentiment was stamped on the largest cloud die cut.
I adhered the clouds and the card is complete.

I do hope you'll check this digi out along with all the other
fabulous digis available in Conie's Etsy Shop.

Masculine Birthday Card

Do you make a lot of masculine cards?

I don’t know why, but, I just do not create a lot of masculine cards.

And, it’s not that they are harder to do than more feminine cards.

In fact, they probably are easier to make.

So, I decided to do a masculine birthday card and

even threw in a matching envelope for

my first CutCardStock project this month.

Materials

Stardream Metallic Card Stock in CopperOpal and Saturn

This card stock is the Monthly Specialfor May.

Cougar NATURAL 80 lb. cardstock 8.5×11

3-D Embossing Folder, Square Die, Star Dies, Sentiment Dies, Guitar Stamp, Ink Pads, Adhesive

Card Base

I started with my card base that measures 5 x 6 1/2 inches.

It was cut from a piece of the Cougar Natural Card Stock. Cut to 10 x 6 1/2 inches, score at 5 inches along the 10 inch side and fold.

A piece of Saturn Stardream Metallic was cut to 5 x 6 1/2 inches. Copper Stardream Metallic was cut to 4 3/4 x 6 1/2 inches.

I cut a piece of Opal Stardream Metallic to 4 5/8 x 6 1/8 inches. This piece was embossed with the Gemini 3D Geometric Triangles embossing folder.

Layer the 3 pieces Stardream Metallic card stock onto the card base.

4 1 inch squares were cut out of the Saturn and Copper card stock to total 8. These were cut in half and arranged onto a strip of the Cougar Natural card stock measuring @ 5 7/8 x 1 3/8 inches.

 See photo

Die cut 2 stars and sentiment.

Stamp the guitar onto Cougar Natural with brown ink and

heat emboss with clear embossing powder.

Fussy cut.

Putting it Together

See photos

Envelope

Take an A7 envelope like the Leader Opaque LEE Envelopes

Stamp in the lower left hand corner of the front side.

I added 3 mini pearls to the guitar to finish.

Thanks so much for taking a look at my Masculine Birthday Card project. I hope to have provided some inspiration to you to create more masculine cards.
