Creating a Bright Encouragement Card

 Sometimes the encouragement someone needs most 

is a gentle reminder of the strength they already possess. 

Today’s card combines bright colors, sunny details, and 

the sentiment “You Are Strong” to deliver that uplifting message.

Let me show you how to create this card with products from Pajama Crafter Stamps.

To begin, stamp the sweet Flower Child Stamps image and color it with Prismacolor Pencils. 

Soft shading and vibrant colors bring this character to life while adding plenty of personality and charm.

For the background, use the Sunburst Stencil to create a sunny focal point. 

The sunburst draws the eye directly to the image. 

The radiating rays add energy and movement, making the card feel bright and uplifting.

Add a narrow mat to the stenciled background with a piece of pink cardstock. 

Layer orange and pink polka dot patterned paper from 

the Spooky Sorbet Halloween Paper Pack behind. 

Even though it comes from a Halloween collection, the pattern paper

 coordinates perfectly with the Flower Child image.

Add the background panel to an orange card base.

Fussy cut the image. 

Stamp the sentiment “You Are Strong” from Awareness Stamps onto white card stock. 

Die cut the sentiment with a circle die. 

Take a piece of pink card stock and die cut using the Scalloped Circle Die. 

Cut a piece of the polka dot pattern paper for layering.

Add the pattern paper strip to the background near the bottom.

Adhere the image with foam tape to the left side of the card.

The sentiment goes on the right side.

To finish the design, I scattered a few Ballet Slipper Confetti Embellishments around the card. This adds a bit of sparkle and extra interest.

I love how the pink and orange colors create a fun retro-inspired feel that perfectly complements the Flower Child image.

Magical Dragon Easel Shaker Card

If you love interactive cards with a touch of whimsy, this heart-shaped dragon shaker card is such a fun project to create! With layered hearts, vibrant ink blending, and sparkling shaker elements, this design is perfect for celebrating Mother’s Day—or any special occasion.

Hey there! I'm here today showing you how easy it is to put a card like this together! I love creating easel cards and thought it would be fun to add a shaker. It may look complicated, but it’s really not.

Step 1: Create the Card Base

Start with a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch square card. You can either leave it square or die cut a desired shape. This will be your card base. Score, fold and burnish at the center of the card front lengthwise. This will serve as the easel element.

Also, go ahead and cut 2 white cardstock panels slightly smaller than the card base. One will serve a the background on the card front. The other is for the inside.

Step 2: Ink Blend the Background

Using the In My Heart of Hearts Stencil, blend ink over one of the white cardstock panels. Focus the color around the edges for a soft, glowing effect while keeping the center lighter. This adds depth behind your shaker window.

Adhere the background panel to the lower half of the card base.

Add the other white panel to the inside of the card.

Step 3: Build the Shaker Window

1. Die cut a heart frame from deep purple cardstock.
2. Adhere a piece of acetate behind the opening.
3. Add foam adhesive around the back of the frame.
4. Place Opalescence Confetti Embellishments and Wisteria Confetti Embellishments onto the center of the card background.
5. Adhere the shaker over the confetti embellishments.

Step 4: Color and Prepare the Dragons

Stamp the adorable dragon images from the Greatest Treasure Stamps and color them with your favorite medium (alcohol markers or colored pencils work beautifully). Add a bit of shimmer to wings for extra sparkle, then fussy cut or die cut them out.

Step 5: Assemble the Focal Point

Arrange the dragons on top of the shaker window using foam adhesive for dimension.

Step 6: Prepare the Sentiment

Stamp “Happy Mother’s Day” from the Greatest Treasure  set onto a banner from the Banner Die Set with Versamark and heat emboss.

Step 7: Final Embellishments

Stamp the heart images from the Greatest Treasure set. Color, fussy cut and add glitter glue for a little extra sparkle. 

Lightly ink the edges of the sentiment banner. Adhere with foam tape to the inside of card near the center. This acts as the “stop” for the easel. I did also add a die cut heart beneath the sentiment.

Add the hearts to complete.

Ooh La La Junk Journal

 Bonjour, crafty friends! Today, I'm excited to share a chic and feminine Paris-inspired junk journal created for Clear Scraps. With soft pastels, elegant embellishments, and a touch of vintage charm, this "Ooh La La" journal is perfect for capturing your favorite memories or gifting to a friend who adores all things Paris!

I am using the Large Square Journal Cover for this project.  This chipboard cover measures approximately 6.5 x 6.5 x 2 inches. A binding needle and wax thread are included.

Start by cutting card stock to size for the front and back of the cover. The spine piece is cut 5 inches wide and scored at 1 1/2 & 3 1/2 inches.

Adhere the card stock to each piece. The spine piece is adhered between the score lines.

Glue the 2 large pieces to the spine.

Choose some patterned papers for the front and back.

Cut down pieces to fit front & back.

I butt my pieces up to the card stock on the spine piece.

Cover the areas where the pattern paper meets the solid card stock with washi tape.

Finish the inside covers.  Adhere pattern papers. Add solid card stock to the spine area.

I put together 3 signatures measuring 6 x 6 inches. Some of the journal pages from the book I pulled patterned papers from along with some card stock, plain paper & some paper bags were used  The signature covers were made with patterned card stock.

The signatures were sewn in.

All that’s left is to embellish the cover.

I did some die cutting.

A ribbon was sewn beneath the signatures. I covered the spine on the outside with a rectangular piece of card stock and washi tape.  Flatback pearls were added. The ribbon was knotted.

The die cuts were adhered and I added some pearls to finish.
