Birthdays are the perfect excuse to go bold and a little playful! For this card, I paired a fun tiered cake image with a trendy chalkboard-style background and a cheeky “Forever 29” sentiment. The bright pink frosting and festive details really pop against the dark backdrop—making this design perfect for someone who plans to celebrate 29 again and again!

Card Inspiration
The inspiration for this card design comes from Craft Roulette Episode #306
Parameters are:

My first step is to stamp the cake and present. Color them with Prismacolor Pencils using summer desert colors. Fussy cut.
To create the "chalkboard" effect stamp images on black cardstock with Versamark ink and heat emboss with white embossing powder. Smudge a little white ink to the edges and in a few random spots. Trim this piece down to approximately 3 3/4 x 5 3/4 inches.
Make a 5x7 inch card base with black cardstock. Score and fold a 7 x 10 inch piece of cardstock at 5 inches along the 10 inch side.
Cut pink card stock to 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches. A piece of stripe pattern card is cut to approximately 4 x 6 inches.
A scalloped pink border is die cut.
Adhere the pink mat and the striped card stock to the black card base.
Add the "chalkboard" piece and border.
Finishing
To complete the card design add the cake and present images with foam tape.
This playful birthday card is perfect for celebrating someone who refuses to age past 29! I love how the bold frosting and whimsical chalk details make this card feel fun and full of personality.
