Hey there! Today I have 2 stenciled cards to share with you! They were created using products from CutCardStock.
Stenciling is not something I do a lot of but, I love the way these came out and may have to do more.
A Gemini Create A-Card die was used to make a stencil. It was cut out of Basis 8.5 x 11″ White 110# Cover Cardstock, which is no longer available, but an alternative would be Basis Natural 110# Cardstock. This card stock is nice and sturdy and holds up well while inking.
The cut stencil was taped onto a piece of Royal Sundance Felt Brilliant White 8.5 x 11 Card Stock. I chose inks and finger daubers for the “coloring”.
When done I have 2 “colored” pieces that can be used for 2 projects.
2 pieces of Basis White 80 lb Card Stock were cut to form 2 5 x 6 1/2 inch card bases. The card fronts were covered with DCS Canvas Textured Pink Tutu Card Stock.
I trimmed both of my “colored” pieces. The stenciled piece on the left below was matted with the Pink Tutu Card Stock. My die cut piece on the right was matted with the Royal Sundance White Card Stock.
Both of these pieces were adhered to the card bases. I did add another matte of white card stock to the stenciled piece.
Sentiments and labels were die cut
I adhered the sentiments to the labels
The sentiment pieces were added to the cards with a narrow strip for pink card stock behind.
If you have never tried this technique, I hope you do! And please connect with us over on the CutCardStock Facebook Page!
