Bridge Fold Card

Hey there!
I'm sharing my latest CutCardStock DT project with you today.
It is a bridge fold card.

Do you like making fancy fold cards?
I do and the bridge fold card is one of the easiest to construct.

Stardream Metallic Card Stock from CutCardStock is what I'm using for this project

A bridge fold card can be made in just about any size you want. Mine was made using an 11 x 7 inch piece of STARDREAM METALLIC SPARKLY BRIGHT WHITE PLUTO 8.5 X 11 CARD STOCK as the base. I scored at 1 3/8 and 2 3/4 inches on both sides of the 11 inch side. This makes the center of the card measure about 5 1/2 inches. The 2 ends are folded as seen below.

I cut a piece of STARDREAM METALLIC SAPPHIRE (BLUE) 105LB 8.5 X 11 CARD STOCK to 5 1/4 x 6 3/4 inches. A piece of STARDREAM METALLIC SPARKLY BRIGHT WHITE PLUTO 8.5 X 11 CARD STOCK was cut to 5 1/8 x 6 5/8 inches. These pieces are used for the center panel background.

I wanted to add border die cuts to the top of the center and the 2 outside panels. The bridge piece is 1 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches. It is the piece left from cutting the card base.

Using STARDREAM METALLIC SILVER 105 LB CARD STOCK I die cut a reindeer and tree. I backed the tree with a piece of sapphire card and fussy cut around.

The pluto card cut for the center background was embossed with a 3-D embossing folder, layered onto the sapphire matte and adhered to the base.

Next the die cut borders were added to the center and sides.

I adhered the die cut tree to the center panel with 2 layers of foam tape for a little dimension.

To finish I hand cut the bridge piece with a wavy edge across the top and adhered to the side pieces along the bottom.

I die cut 2 snowflakes and a “Happy Birthday” sentiment. These die cuts were added to the card.

The reindeer die cut was added last.

I hope you like my bridge fold card project. Of course it can be adapted for any occasion or theme by changing colors and/or dies. The possibilities are endless!

As always, be sure and check out the CutCardStock Facebook page for more inspiration.
