You Make my Heart Bloom

 Happy Friday!
I love to color! How about you?
And some of my favorite images are from

I had printed and colored this one, Leilani,
a little while back and lost track of it until a few days ago.
Came across it while looking for something else.
Please tell me I'm not the only one that does this?

So, I thought I would put her on a card, which is super simple.
I had printed the image a little larger than I normally would.
Colored with Prismacolor Pencils.
No fussy cutting done, which is out of the ordinary for me!
A sentiment was stamped. I added some sequins and double matted.
Not a lot needed as the image is so pretty!

Thanks for taking a look.
I hope you have a great weekend!

Let's Bounce Stamps Card

Hello there! Today I'm sharing my latest creation for Pajama Crafter Stamps using Let's Bounce Stamps.

This stamp set has a basketball theme. It includes 6 image stamps and 6 sentiment stamps, 2 of which are quotes from 2 WNBA stars.

My card features the female basketball player image. The sentiment is the quote from Caitlin Clark, "So all you have to do is dream". What a great inspirational message.

I fussy cut the image after coloring with Prismacolor Pencils. My card background is mostly white with a pattern paper inset. The image is popped with foam tape onto die cut circles that are slightly offset.

Creating cards with sports themes is not something I usually do, but I do love this set and will be using it quite a bit. It will be especially easy to create masculine cards with the other images, which is another type of card I do not create many of.

I hope you'll check out the Let's Bounce Stamps for yourself!

Spring Slimline Card

Are you as ready for spring as I am? It can’t get here soon enough but, still a little ways off where I live. So, in the meantime I’m making a Spring Slimline Card with lots of colorful card stock from CutCardStock! And, I’m adding black and gold to make these colors pop!

Flower Dies, Sentiment Die, Border Die, Embossing Folder, Adhesive

Creating a Focal

I am using the Large Die Set of the Month for January, Botanical Atrium, from Spellbinders for my focal.

Start by die cutting the atrium frame out of the Gold Bright FOIL 10 pt Card Stock . Then cut the solid backing piece out of Classic Crest DUPLEX Epic Black – Solar White 120lb Cover wt.

Next I die cut a variety of flowers, foliage and butterflies out of the pink, purple, blue and green card stocks.

Assemble flowers.

Begin arranging and adhering florals to the black back piece of the atrium.

Finish adding the florals.

Add the atrium frame over the top of the florals. Adhere the 3 tiny butterflies to the frame.

Card Base

My slimline card base measures 4 x 9 inches. Cut a piece of the Classic Crest DUPLEX Epic Black – Solar White 120lb Cover wt to 8 x 9 inches. Score at 4 inches along the 8 inch side and fold.

Cut a piece of DCS Discount Card Stock: Canvas Textured Mantis Green Card Stock to 3 3/4 x 8 3/4 inches.

Emboss the top part of the Mantis Green piece with an embossing folder.

Adhere the green piece to the center of the card base.

Die cut two border pieces out of black card stock for the top and bottom of the card. Cut a sentiment and shadow piece out of black and gold.

Narrow gold strips will add a little something extra to the two black border pieces. Cutting a third, wider gold strip will cover the bottom of the embossing.

Adhere the borders and the gold pieces.

Completing the Card

To complete the card design adhere the focal piece to the center of the card with foam tape.

The sentiment goes beneath the focal piece. Adding with foam tape gives dimension.

I am so happy with the overall design of this Spring Slimline Card and hope you like it.

St. Patrick's Day Layout

Am I the only one that is a little slow in getting scrapbook layouts done for photos that have been sitting around for awhile?

Hi there! It's Judy here with a St. Patrick's Day Layout project created for Clear Scraps.

And, yes, it's taken me awhile to get this one done! It's done with one of the photos from my daughter's trip to Ireland that took place in 2007!

I have a Shamrock Mini Shaker and thought it would be a perfect embellishment for my layout.

So, I went ahead and put the shaker together 1st thing.

The solid chipboard piece and one of the chipboard form pieces are colored with a green sparkle pen.

Glue and glitter were added to the colored form piece.

2 other form pieces were layered and adhered to the solid chipboard.

Sequins were added as the shaker bits.

The protective film was removed from both sides of the acrylic piece.

The acrylic piece is glued on top and then the glittered piece is adhered to complete.

Now to assemble the page.

I started with a 12 x 12 inch piece of green card stock.  Gold and white card stock are layered on top for the layout base.

The photo was matted with gold and green card stocks.

Next, I added a piece of orange card stock to the base. I also die cut 3 circular frames and added.

2 patterned papers from the St. Patrick’s Day Clipart and Papers Kit by Scrapbook Gems were printed, cut and added.

I printed and fussy cut some shamrocks and banners from the scrapbook kit. I also pulled out a rub on, printed and die cut other elements for my title.

The photo and title are added.

Start adding shamrocks and banners.

Finish by adding the rest of the shamrocks and the shaker.

Thanks for taking a look at my layout project!
