Autumn is such a magical time to create! With the cozy colors, falling leaves, and woodland creatures, inspiration is everywhere. Judy here, sharing this Fall Woodland Altered Bottle for CutCardStock—a fun upcycled decor piece that’s perfect for the season.
Project Inspiration
I wanted to turn an ordinary glass bottle into a charming woodland scene filled with fall texture and color. The adorable acorn house and playful squirrel make it feel straight out of a storybook, while the sunflowers and leaves bring that unmistakable autumn warmth.
Cardstock Used
- DCS Discount Cardstock: Canvas Textured Rubber Ducky Yellow
- DCS Discount Cardstock: Textured Flame Tree Orange
- DCS Discount Cardstock: Vanilla Bean Brown
- DCS Discount Cardstock: Smooth Sand Castle Tan
- DCS Discount Cardstock: Black

How It’s Made
- Prep the Bottle – Clean your bottle thoroughly and let it dry. Then cover it with a layer of crinkled tissue paper using Mod Podge to add texture. Once dry, paint or ink over it in warm brown tones.
- Create the Scene – Die-cut your acorn house, leaves, flowers, and squirrel using your favorite fall-themed dies. Layer and glue them onto the bottle front, arranging them to create a dimensional woodland scene.
- Add Details – Wrap the neck of the bottle with twine, add charms or small leaf embellishments, and finish the base with ribbon.
Crafting Tip
Don’t be afraid to mix textures! The combination of crinkled paper, cardstock layers, and twine adds depth and warmth—perfect for fall projects.
