Just for You from Bella

Well, here we are at the end of another month!
So, I'm popping in to share an inspiration card for

I just could not resist coloring up this adorable little bear!

She was colored with Prismacolor Pencils and, of course, fussy cut.
My card design was really quick and simple, using a 6 inch cut apart
from the Garden Charm 12 x 12 inch paper pad from Recollections.
I matted the piece with gold and navy card stocks.
The sentiment was cut with dies from Crafter's Companion.
I popped Bella and the sentiment with foam tape.
And, there you have it!

I appreciate you stopping by and hope you have a great weekend!

Dinomite Birthday Band Card

As a former musician and music teacher I love anything having to do with music, so I was really excited when Pajama Crafter Stamps came out with the cute Dinomite Birthday Stamp Set. It is perfect for creating a cute and fun birthday card.

Cute dinosaurs playing instruments! Who could resist playing with these stamps?

I didn't quite have a card design in mind so I decided to go ahead and stamp all 5 characters and color up with Prismacolor Pencils and a little glitter gel pen.

The double star stamp in the set is perfect for creating an emboss resist background.Stamp with Versamark ink. Heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Blend with inks to match the dinos. I cut this piece to 4 3/4 x 6 1/4 inches.

I fussy cut the dinos, stamped one of the sentiments and die cut 2 squares and 2 stars.

My card base measures 5 x 6 1/2 inches. A piece of purple card stock measuring 5 x 6 1/2 inches covers the card base.

The music note stamp from the set adds something a little extra to the white square and star.

The sentiment was a cut with an oval die.

I adhered the purple card stock, embossed piece, 2 squares and stars to the card base.

Pop each dinosaur with foam tape and add the sentiment to complete.

I had a lot of fun putting this cute Dinomite Birthday Band Card together!

 Hey there!
Sharing my Beautiful Bride Canvas Wall Art project for CutCardStock.

I love to color and, pretty, female, portrait style digital stamps are my favorites. So, looking through my images I came across one from Digital Morning called “Tenderness”. This beautiful greyscale bride image also contains pretty flowers. I knew I had to color her up and make flowers out of card stock for some dimension to create a unique canvas.

Focal Image

I start by printing the image on a 8 1/2 x 11 inch piece of Cougar White Smooth Card Stock.

Color the image. My favorite coloring medium are Prismacolor Pencils.

There is a veil in the image. I decide to trace it onto a piece of CTI Glama Natural Translucent Vellum using a white pencil color. This is an alternative to coloring the veil.

Once I finish the coloring I fussy cut the image. Even though I will cover the flowers I go ahead and color them just in case they peek through!

Next, although I will be using a white canvas I decide to add a little color underneath the image. This is done by adhering a piece of Coral Stardream Metallic Card Stock.

Then I decide to tear a border around the image. This also provides a little texture.

Prepare the Canvas

My canvas measures 9 x 12 inches. Wanting some texture, I adhere crumpled tissue paper to the canvas with decoupage medium. Then I paint with white acrylic paint.

Adhere the image to the center of the canvas.

Add the vellum veil piece. I am gluing the vellum in areas where flowers will cover.

White pearls enhance the image.

Make the Flowers

I die cut 3 different sizes of 5 petal flowers with Lessebo Blossom Pink Card Stock to form my roses. Cutting between each petal of each die cut helps with shaping and forming the roses.

Roll and glue the smallest die cuts for the rose centers. Adding a layer at a time and going up in size makes it easy to vary each rose and make them look more realistic.

Add the roses to the canvas, covering those on the image.

Die cut and shape the smaller flowers. I am using Lessebo Bubble Gum Pink Card Stock and Cougar Smooth White Card Stock. The flowers are layered. Add pearls to the centers.

Complete the project by adding these last flowers.

Thanks for taking the time to check out my Beautiful Bride Canvas Wall Art project. I hope you take away a little inspiration from it!

Mardi Gras Canvas

Do you like mixed media projects? Mixed media is not something I do a lot, although I think it’s fun to play with different mediums and materials.

Hi there, Judy here creating a mixed media project for Clear Scraps!

Mardi Gras is March 4th and being a Louisiana native I thought a Mardi Gras themed canvas would be fun to make.

I am using the 12 inch Shattered Glass Stencil and the Fleur-de-lis Shaker.

The canvas I am using measure 9 x 12 inches. I pulled out some purple acrylic paint, gold texture paste and a pallet knife.

The first step is to add some purple paint to the canvas. I left some streaks in the paint as I did not want total coverage.

Next apply gold texture paste through the stencil with the pallet knife randomly.

I wanted to add a little green paint and did so with a dry baby wipe by swiping in various areas.

Assemble the shaker next.

Trace the solid chipboard back piece onto the backside of a gold glitter card stock and cut out.

Glue the gold card stock onto the solid piece.

Adhere 2 of the chipboard form pieces together.

I applied gilding wax to the front of the 3rd chipboard form piece and the edges of all chipboard pieces.

Glue the 2 chipboard pieces that were adhered together to the back piece.

Add shaker bits to the back. I used sequins.

Remove the protective film from both sides of the acrylic piece.

Glue the acrylic on top of the assembled piece.

Add the last form piece.

Now we’re ready to put the canvas together!

I had a Mardi Gras themed mask I made years ago that I thought would work perfectly on this project.

It was adhered with a low temp glue gun to the top of the canvas.

The shaker was added to the lower right corner. Gold beads were glued between the masks and shaker and the canvas is complete.

So, what do you think? I had a lot of fun putting this canvas together and hope you like it!Maybe I’ve provided a little inspiration to do a project you may not normally create. If so let me know?

I’ll be back with more projects next month! Until then be sure and check out more Clear Scraps inspiration by following on social media.

Keep on Chuggin'

"Keep on chuggin', you got this!" Just a little piece of advice we've all needed to hear at one time or another.

It's Judy V here with my latest inspiration project for Pajama Crafter Stamps. I've used one of this month's new release stamp sets, Chuggin' On. This 4 x 6 inch stamp set includes 2 images and 5 sentiments which are perfect for just about any of your paper crafting projects.

I stamped the male image from the set, colored with Prismacolor Pencils and fussy cut.

Start the card by cutting a 10 x 6 1/2 inch piece of gingersnap card stock. Score at 5 inches along the 10 inch side and fold to create a 5 x 6 1/2 inch card base.

Cut a piece of dark red card stock to 4 3/4 x 6 1/4 inches for a mat.

A natural piece of card stock cut slightly smaller than the mat forms the top layer of the card. I add a plaid paper with 2 diagonal cuts. Wrap twine around this piece 3 times. Add some buttons. Adhere this panel to the mat and the card base.

To complete the design, pop the fussy cut image with foam tape onto the card. Add some shadowing beneath the image with a pencil color. Stamp the sentiment on a small piece of natural card stock and cut in a banner shape.

I appreciate you taking the time to check out my "Keep on Chuggin'" card project. Be sure and check out this stamp set along with all the other products available at Pajama Crafter Stamps!
