Winter Birthday Card

Hey there! I'm posting today with a Winter Birthday Card project for CutCardStock.

It’s not very often that I make birthday cards for a certain season. Do you do that? I usually just make them and figure they are appropriate for any time.

Materials

Mohawk Super Fine White Smooth 100 lb CardStock (a good alternative is the Cougar White Smooth CardStock), Lessebo Colors NAVY BLUE 83lb CardstockDCS Discount Card Stock: Canvas Textured Ginger Snap Card StockWinter Wonderland Prints 6×6 Card Stock pad – Assortment – 36 sheets

Deer Die, Sentiment Die, 2 Circle Dies, Embossing Folder, Markers and Adhesive

Starting

Having an idea of how to layout this card, I first chose one of the pattern papers and set the smaller circle die over the area to cut.

The Ginger Snap Card Stock is perfect for a deer. Use some markers to add a little color.

Cut the sentiment and a larger circle out of the Navy Blue Card Stock.

Card Base

The card base is 5 x 6 1/2 inches and is cut from the Navy Blue Card Stock. Cut a piece 10 x 6 1/2 inches, score at 5 inches on the 10 inch side and fold in half.

A piece of the White Mohawk Card Stock is cut to 1/4 inch smaller than the navy. Emboss with a corner design embossing folder.

Adhere the white piece of card stock to the card base. Mat the pattern paper circle to the navy die cut circle.

Finishing

To finish up, adhere the die cuts as in the photo below.

My Winter Birthday Card is a simple design and I am happy with it!

I hope my card provides some inspiration for you to create a winter card. Thanks for taking a look!
