Very Hippo Holidays Card

Hello all!
Hope we are doing well.

I am staying quite busy working on some custom pop up wedding invites
for an Etsy customer, but managed to create a cute card to submit
to this week's Craft Roulette Challenge.

I used products from Pajama Crafter Stamps including:

I started by foiling the flashcard, trimming down and adding to a dark red A2 card base.
The hippo image was stamped, colored with Prismacolor Pencils and fussy cut.
A small strip of paper from the paper pad was added to the top of the card.
The wobbler was attached to the hippo and placed on the card.
I stamped one of the sentiments from the stamp set used and
die cut with a tag die. Twine was added and tied into a bow.

Here are the parameters from Craft Roulette Episode #343

My sentiment is on a tag.
Library colors are earthy and rustic reds.
Using a wobbler is new to me.
I colored the image with pencil colors.

I had fun putting this card together!
Hope you like it!

DIY Christmas Photo Display

Add a personal touch to your holiday decorating with this festive DIY Christmas photo display created for Clear Scraps! Combining classic Christmas colors, holiday patterns, and a favorite Christmas memory, this project makes a wonderful addition to your seasonal home decor.

I love creating holiday decorations that showcase special memories, and this Christmas display does just that! Featuring the Base with Deco Frame 3D Frameable and the Word n Shape Christmas Tree, this project brings together traditional holiday elements to create a charming centerpiece for the Christmas season.

Creating the Christmas Photo Display

To begin, I chose patterned papers from my stash to cover the frame and Christmas tree. Each piece was traced onto the papers, cut out and adhered with Mod Podge. I added color to the tree tunic with an alcohol marker.

I painted the 2 base pieces and Christmas word with acrylic paint. Paint was also added to the lower portion of the frame back piece.

The 2 base pieces were adhered together with wood glue.

I adhered my photo to the frame back and glued the frame onto.

A decorative Dazzles sticker border was added around the frame opening and the tree had Dazzles sticker added as well. A dimensional holly with berries sticker was added to the Christmas word.

Finally, I arranged the pieces on the layered red and black base, creating a freestanding display that looks wonderful on a mantel, shelf, or holiday table.

A Handmade Decoration Filled with Memories

What makes this project especially meaningful is the photograph at its center. Incorporating a favorite holiday photo turns a decorative piece into a treasured keepsake that can be enjoyed year after year.

This project is also a great way to coordinate patterned papers, dimensional embellishments, and bold lettering to create a personalized Christmas decoration. You can easily customize the colors, papers, and photograph to match your own holiday decor.

Whether you create one for your home or make one as a handmade Christmas gift, this festive photo display is a wonderful way to celebrate the season and preserve special memories.

Until next time-
