Cute As A Button July Inspiration

Hello!

Today I am sharing a little inspiration on the

Cute As A Button Inspiration Showcase Blog!

I created an inspirational decor piece using

Love Song

I started by gathering some materials:

the printed image

an inexpensive MDF frame from Michaels

some coordinating papers from DCWV's the Music Stack

I colored the image to match the papers and fussy cut.

I painted the backside of the frame and the edges of the front

with an acrylic paint. Next, I used the frame as a template

for cutting the DP I wanted to use on the front of the frame.

Then I cut out a section of the coordinating paper and printed

a verse I found that suited the image directly on the paper.

The piece of Dp cut for the front of the frame was decoupaged.

Next I embellished the frame with a doily and 

some layered floral stickers and a bow and popped the image with foam tape 

on the right side of the frame.

I placed the piece of DP with the verse where a photo

would normally go. And the piece is finished!

Hello there!

I have a new card to share

which I created as my DT project for this week's challenge at

Our theme this week is

"Summer Sunshine"!

I colored the mage with Spectrum Noir Blendable pencils

and fussy cut. I created the background by paper piecing

3 papers from "A Day at the Beach" paper pack

from the Paper Studio. The sentiment was stamped

with a stamp from Paper Wishes.

I took an inexpensive frame and created a cute decor piece
that would be great in a baby's nursery!

The image was colored with Spectrum Noir markers and fussy cut. 
I took coordinating papers and applied to the frame 
with decoupage medium. 
I used a die cut from Recollections where a photo
would normally go.
The piece was embellished with buttons, paper flowers and ribbon.

I love the way it turned out!

Mermaid Birthday Wishes

Hello there all!

Today I wanted to share a birthday card

I created at the request of a friend of mine.

She asked for a mermaid card for her granddaughter's 4th birthday!

Well, I just happened to have the perfect digi stamp for that!

I colored the image with pencils and fussy cut.

The sentiment was stamped.

Glittered washi tape was added as a border.

I added a die cut and and stickers from Recollections.

I love the way it came out and I think my friend will too!

"Just Go For It"

That's something I think a lot of us need to

hear every once in a while!

Is there something you've been wanting to do

but have been afraid to to take the proper steps

to do so? What have you got to lose?

It may just pay off!

This fun little project reflects that motto

"Just Go For It".

It was pretty quick and easy to put together using

an inexpensive wood photo frame, some DP,

a few embellishments and the adorable digi set from

Imagine That! Digis

"Foxy Thang".

The fairy was colored with pencils and fussy cut

before popping with foam tape on top of the background.

My background was created using a

3D embossing folder from Crafter's Companion.

I added color by rubbing ink pads on the raised portions.

MHKDesigner Inspiration

Hello!

It's my day to share a little inspiration at

MHKDesigns!

This month all of the designers are celebrating

"Christmas in July".

So let's get those Christmas projects started

if you haven't already because the holidays

will be here before you know it!

I created a card using

Season's Greetings.

This is just one of many great Christmas/Holiday themed sets at

MHKDesigns.

I started by printing the image twice. 

One was colored with markers and fussy cut.

Next I fussy cut the 2nd image and cut apart

the colored image. I adhered the colored image to the uncolored one

 to give a little dimension with some foam tape.

I chose a background paper, cut into a panel and double matted

with solid card stock and adhered to card base.

I added a die cut circle to back the image.

The sentiment was printed, cut, matted

and placed near the bottom of the card.

I added some pearls to finish.

I hope I've provided just a little motivation you need to get

started on your holiday cards!
