All Boy Scrapbook Layout

Boys and cars go hand in hand, and this playful “All Boy” scrapbook layout captures that energy with bright colors, layered cardstock details, and fun road-themed embellishments. Judy V here sharing how to create a 12×12 layout using cardstock from CutCardStock to frame a favorite photo and add bold dimension.

This layout is perfect for documenting those little moments that say so much about personality—like being happiest surrounded by toy cars!

Supplies Used

Step 1: Create the Base

Start with a 12 x 12 inch Astrobright Solar Yellow base. Mat the page with a 11 1/4 x 11 1/4 inch piece of DCS Canvas Textured Habanero Red cardstock.

Cut a piece of Cougar White to 11 x 11 inches for the background. Adhering to the base will come later.

Step 2: Build the Background

Cut two 1 x 11 inch strips of Lessebo Pitch Black. Add white stripes with paint pen to mimic lines on a road.

Using the tire track looking stamp, stamp along top, middle and bottom of background.

Add the black strips across the top and bottom of the page to help frame the layout.

Adhere the background to the base.

Step 3: Build the Photo Cluster

Mat your photo with Lessebo Pitch Black. Cut Habanero Red, Solar Yellow and Dolphin Gray panels for layers behind photo.

Angle the layers behind the photo for added movement and dimension. Add a road-shaped clip art loop behind the photo to continue the car theme. The clip art loop is printed on Cougar White cardstock.

Step 4: Create Tire Embellishments

Cut black circles for the tires out of  Lessebo Pitch Black. Smaller circles for the wheel centers are cut out of DCS Dolphin Gray. Die cut gear shapes with Bright Foil Silver and add black brads in the center to mimic hubcaps.

Adhere the “tires” around the photo cluster using foam adhesive for dimension. Place a clip art car, that is printed on Adhere the “tires” around the photo cluster using foam adhesive for dimension. Place a clip art car, that is printed on Cougar White and fussy cut, at the bottom of the photo.

Step 5: Add the Title

Die cut letters spelling “all boy” out of DCS Canvas TexturedHabanero Red and Lessebo Pitch Black for the title.

Mat the red letters with black for a shadow effect. This helps the title stand out and ties in beautifully with the color palette.

Adhere the title near the bottom right of the layout.

Step 6: Add Journaling Details

Print small journaling strips with a label maker. Mat with yellow cardstock.

For this layout, I added:

  • “no toys just cars”
  • Name
  • Date

These small labels help personalize the page without overwhelming the design.

Step 7: Finish with Embellishments

Add car embellishments which are printed on Cougar White and fussy cut, along the road borders to carry the theme throughout the page.

Finished Layout

This bright and playful design is full of movement and perfectly suited for documenting those “all boy” moments. I love how the layered cardstock mats, bold title, and tire embellishments create a fun themed page while keeping the photo the focal point.

CutCardStock’s sturdy cardstock makes layered scrapbook pages like this easy to build and gives crisp, clean edges for detailed die cuts and embellishments.

Craft Roulette Episode #317 | A9 Card, Lots of Layers

Hey there!
Today I'm sharing a card I created for submission to
Craft Roulette Episode #317

The parameters for this episode are:

This was a pretty easy challenge for me.
A lot of people do not like making A9 cards, but
I make them quite often.
This is a perfect size for larger images, which I prefer!

And, Pajama Crafter Stamps has a sweet newer stamp that is on the larger size,
so, that's what I'm using on this card.

I colored this sweet stamp with my preferred medium, Prismacolor Pencils.

Florist Shop Colors parameter met.

5 layers of solid and patterned cardstock were added to my white card base which

 measures 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches.  Project - A9 card parameter met.

Some of the cardstock and the die cut circle on the top left corner were

on my messy desk, So Random parameter - Something from your desk! - met

I have a Happy Birthday sentiment that was die cut. Element parameter - Birthday(s) met.

Hand punched flowers and confetti embellishments were added to complete.

Three Cheers for Teachers

Teacher Appreciation Week is the perfect time to celebrate the everyday heroes who encourage, inspire, and support our kids all year long. And, the design team at Pajama Crafter Stamps is doing just that this week.

I created a bright and playful cheer-themed teacher appreciation card filled with school spirit and a big heartfelt thank you!

This card combines several fun elements—layered borders, pennant banners, adorable cheerleaders, and a bold sentiment—to create a design full of movement and energy.

Creating the Card Base

Start by creating a black 5 x 6 1/2 inch card base. Cut a blue mat measuring 4 3/4 x 6 1/4 inches. Also cut a white background panel to 4 5/8 x 6 1/8 inches.

Adhere the blue mat to the black card base.

Stamping & Coloring Cheerleaders

Next, I stamped several adorable images from Cheer You Up Stamps, colored them with gel pens and Prismacolor pencils.

Preparing Card Elements

Stamp and die cut elements.

Fussy cut the cheerleader images.

Create the School Banner

At the top of the white background panel, create a festive red and blue banner with Pennant Dies.

  • One pennant features the sentiment “You Are the Best!”
  • Another includes “#1” for a fun teacher-themed touch.

Pennants help bring the “pep rally” feel to the design.

Layer the "Thank You" sentiment onto a black strip and a red panel cut with Scalloped Border Dies. Adhere just below the center.

Finish with a Heartfelt Sentiment

To tie the design together, add the fussy cut “a big heartfelt” sentiment above the main die-cut sentiment so it reads:

a big heartfelt Thank You

A perfect message for Teacher Appreciation Week!

Add the cheerleaders and the card design is complete.

Final Thoughts

I love how this card feels like a mini cheer performance on paper! The bright primary colors, spirited images, and layered details make it a fun way to say thank you to the teachers who deserve a standing ovation.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy crafting!

Last Morgan's ArtWorld Challenge

Happy Friday and May 1st!
The first of the month brings on a new challenge at
Morgan's ArtWorld.

This is our last challenge.
Morgan's Shop has been closed.

If you care to participate the theme is
ANYTHING GOES.
You can enter creations with any images from any company.

My inspiration card was created with
Winter 7.

Although this is a so called "winter" image, I
tried to bring it into spring.
She is colored with pencils and fussy cut.
I had this cut and embossed piece sitting on my desk (a discard from another project)
so ,though I would put it to use.

Does this ever happen to you?
You start a project, don't like where it's going and
start over with something else?
I'm sure everyone experiences that at one time or another!

Anyway, I inked the embossing and background in the opening.
I tucked the image in and added a die cut sentiment.
A green mat was added behind to complete.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Celebrate Your Graduate with a Shaker Tag Keepsake

Graduation season is the perfect time to create something extra special! Judy here and today I’m sharing a fun and festive tag project made with Clear Scraps products! This tag is not only a beautiful embellishment for a gift, but it also doubles as a keepsake your graduate will treasure.

2 products were used:
Shaker Tag Grad Hat
Congrats Chipboard Word Title

For this design, I went all in with bold, celebratory colors—rich reds and shimmering golds—to really capture that proud, milestone moment. The base of the tag is covered with glitter cardstock for instant sparkle and layered with a metallic gold panel to add contrast and elegance.

Glue 3 of the 4 chip rings for the shaker onto the tag base. Add color to the tassel. I used an acrylic paint marker.

Remove film from both sides of one of the acrylic pieces and adhere to the back of the tag.

Add color to the top shaker ring piece. I used an alcohol marker.

Remove film from both sides of the 2nd acrylic piece. Adhere to the back of the top ring piece once paint is dry.

Add shaker elements. Glue top piece to tag.

I added a digi image of a female graduate which I printed, colored and fussy cut.

Paint the Congrats Chipboard Word Title with gold acrylic paint. Adhere on an angle to the bottom of the tag.

At the top, I added ribbon in coordinating tones and finished it off with star accents for a polished look.

This tag is perfect for attaching to a gift bag, hanging on a bottle, or even displaying as part of a graduation party centerpiece. It’s a simple project that makes a big impact and can easily be customized for school colors or personal style.

I hope this inspires you to create something special for the graduates in your life. Handmade touches like this make those big milestones even more memorable!
