Embossing - Dry or Heat

I love embossing folder so dry is what I went for.

Using "Beautiful Blossom" from

 Arti Doodles.

I went with a song that came out during my college days,

"Love is in the Air" by John Paul Young.

using an image called On Your Arm" from

I colored my image with Spectrum Noir markers
before fussy cutting and popping with foam dots on a rectangle panel.
I added a doily, some ribbon and a bow and finished
with some paper roses and pearls.

MHK Designs January/February 2016

Hello all!

I'm so excited to be on the DT for the new challenge blog for

MHK Designs!

We will be holding monthly challenges with 

Color/Photo Inspiration.

So you choose the colors, the photo or 

a combination of both to create your project and share with us.

Those of us on the DT will be using products from the

MHK Designs Etsy Shop

and we would love to see you using them as well

but you don't have to to join in.

This month's inspiration ~

I decided to use some of the colors for my card.

Using "Butterfly Wisdom"

I printed the image twice and
colored one of the images with Spectrum Noir markers.
The colored butterflies were fussy cut and popped with foam dots
on top of the uncolored image for a little dimension.
The sentiment is also from the set and was die cut.

I colored my image with Spectrum Noir markers and

used some DP from Recollections.

The circles were die cut with Sizzix framelits.

My layered flower was created with a Recollections paper flower

and a Fiskars punch flower which I topped with a flower gem.

I stamped the sentiment and added 3 gems to finish up!

Love Potion No 9

Hi all!

I'm here today with my Inspiration post for

Cute As A Button Inspiration Showcase.

With Valentine's Day just around the corner

I went with a fun digital stamp that is

appropriate for that occasion!

Love Potion No 9

Once I decided on the image I chose a card sketch

which I found on the Paper Craft Support Group Facebook page.

I am rotating the sketch to accommodate the long image.

Then I decided on a color scheme which came from

the papers I chosee to work with -

doodlebug design's take note 6x6 paper pad

and I colored the image with Crayola Twistables color pencils
and Fiskars gel pens.

Next, I fussy cut the image.

Now I'm ready to start putting the card together.

The card is ready for the image which I popped with foam squares.

Now i just need finishing touches -

The clipboard was cut from the paper pan I used.

A sentiment was stamped with this set from Oriental Trading Co.

The enamel dots are Teresa Collins.

And we're done!

Hope everyone is well. I'm trying to get over

a cold or something that hit me last weekend
and I have some DT projects to catch up on!

Anyway, I wanted to share a card I made

using one of the new sets released at

for this month. I love, love this one!

This is the

"Happy Anniversary Set".

and fussy cut, of course. I seem to have an obsession 

with fussy cutting. My papers are from a

Colorbok paper pad called "Darling Jewel".

I added some buttons and Teresa Collins enamel dots.

Using Chaplain "Chappy"

This is a card I made with just one of the 8 new stamps

now available here!

I don't usually make masculine themed cards but
I could not resist using this image to do so!
He was colored with Spectrum Noir markers and fussy cut.
I did a little bit of die cutting with the border and sentiment.
Used a mustache embossing folder. The striped paper is DCWV.
Finished up with some buttons.

This one is called "Heart Bow".

I colored with Spectrum Noir markers and fussy cut.
The white and pink ovals were cut with Sizzix framelits dies.
The sentiment banner was cut with Sizzix Banners 2 die.
The red oval was punched with a multi punch called "Love Story".
My papers, and embellishments are Recollections.

Chicken Run

Hello everyone!

Hope you are all having a great weekend!

I, myself, am feeling a little under the weather

but that still doesn't keep me too far from the craft room!

Have you checked out this month's new release sets at

I made this card using
Chicken Run.

The first thing I thought of when seeing this set was

French Country style, so that's what I went with.

I simply printed out the rooster image and fussy cut

before popping on the Sentiment panel.

My banner was cut free-hand. I ran some 1/4" ribbon

throughout the lace and added a bow with wider ribbon

and finished up with some gems in the lower corner.

Hi all!

I colored Bonnie with Spectrum Noir markers and Fiskars glitter gel pens.

She was fussy cut and popped with foam dots on to the

Sizzix 'Ornate Plate" die cut.  The little gold pieces in the upper corners

were left overs from the die cut. I guess you can find a use for everything! 

The banners were cut with the Sizzix "Banners 2" dies. 

My gold glitter paper is Recollectionsand the blue shimmer paper is DCWV.

I finished up with some blue gems.
