Do you have a favorite coloring medium? I think most of us do and if you’re like me it’s what I color with 99.9% of the time. But, it’s good to step out of your comfort zone every once in a while, right? It’s Judy V here and although pencil colors are my favorite coloring medium, I went with some watercoloring for this card I created for Pajama Crafter Stamps.
I started by stamping Sketched Florals Rose Stamps onto watercolor card stock with Versamark and heat embossing with black embossing powder.
The roses, leaves and background were water colored with Tombow Dual Brush Pens, which are water based, and a water brush.
The watercolor card stock panel was trimmed to fit a black postage style die cut frame.
The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed using the Mix & Match Celebration Stamps. I trimmed the 2 words down and matted with black card stock.
My card background is a black & white patterned paper from my stash that is matted with black card stock.
I adhered the matted paper to my white card base. Foam tape was used to adhere the framed water colored panel and the sentiment strips to the card.
So, I’m glad I stepped away from my usual coloring medium and di something different. I hope I’ve inspired you to do the same.

These roses are beautiful for celebrating a wedding anniversary!!! That is one of the sweet things my hubby does for me! He also gave me a dozen roses at our 2nd date!!! (plus a birthday cake! He didn't agree to meet me until 6 days after my 33rd birthday and he felt bad. So two days after meeting, he asked me to meet me and he surprised me the roses and cake!! And guess what? Our #30 will be coming soon in late January!!!) Thank you Judy for sharing your anniversary card at HQCOLCB! -- Becca
