Hi there! Today I’m sharing a festive Christmas project that adds instant holiday charm to any room—a beautiful decorative sleigh created with the Clear Scraps Sled Memory Dex Box. This piece was so much fun to put together and makes a perfect table centerpiece, mantel accent, or handmade gift.
I started by painting the sled panels in a deep, classic holiday red.
For the outside panels, I adhered a distressed metallic paper with Mod Lodge. This gives the project a vintage, weathered-sleigh look—just the right mix of Christmas nostalgia and shine.
The next step is to assemble the sled with wood glue.
Once the sleigh was ready, it was time for the fun part, embellishing!
A bold red flower on the side adds the perfect touch. The combination of pine fronds and metallic berries creates a festive touch.
Decorative die cuts from my stash were added to the front and back panels.
I tucked in a mix of evergreens, pinecones, berries, gold accents, and a few bright red apples for a pop of color. A bold red flower embellishment on the side adds the perfect finishing touch.
