Special Friend Rocker Card

Hi there! 

Today I'm over on the CutCardStock Creative Blog with a project perfect for that special friend in your life. It is a rocker card design using the Pop Tone line of card stocks from CutCard Stock. These card stocks are on special this month, come in a great variety of colors and die cut beautifully! Have you tried making rocker cards? They're really quite easy, fun and quick to put together.

For my project I used Pop Tone COTTON CANDY 8.5x11 Discount Card Stock, Pop Tone GUM DROP GREEN 8.5x11 Discount Card Stock, DCS Discount Card Stock: Natural Twine Kraft Card Stock , a patterned paper from Recollections, 2 die sets from Crafter's Companion and ribbon.

A rocker card is made with a round base that is folded in half. I used scalloped circle dies in 2 sizes. The larger circle is used to cut the kraft card stock, as it is quite sturdy and perfect for the base. The smaller circle die was used to cut 2 pieces from the patterned paper and the kraft card. I did this as the patterned paper is quite thin and I needed the piece The smaller die was also used with the decorative dies in the set to cut the green card stock. I pieced out the bird cage and bird with the pink and kraft card stocks. The sentiment is cut using the pink and green card stocks.

Layering was done as seen in the photo below.

The layered piece above was adhered to the folded "rocker" piece. The sentiment piece was added next. I finished by adding mini pearls and a bow.

The other pieces were added.

My DT card was created using

Love is in the Air.

I colored the digi with markers and cut to a rectangle shape.

I inked the background.

I added some twine and buttons.

Pearls finished up the design.

Vintage Cameo Greyscale.

I colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils and fussy cut.

The background was die cut and embossed.

I die cut the sentiment and added some pearls for a little embellishment.

Hello there! 

It's time for this month's challenge at

The theme is

Boys to Men (Male Themed Projects)

I've used

Surfer Boy Luke.

I colored the digi with markers and fussy cut.

I created my background with a 

combination of printed papers and 

inking with a stencil for the sky.

The papers for the sand and water are from

Sand and Sea 6x6 Paper Pack from Digi Doodle Studios.

My "Hang 10" sentiment was done with glitter stickers.

I colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils and fussy cut.

I die cut some oval the back the image and the sentiment

from the Rose Budd Craft Download Collection.

I used Flower Border Craft Stencil to create the background.

I added a punched butterfly and some pearls for embellishment.

May Designer Inspiration for CAAB

Hi there!

I'm sharing some Cute As A Button designer inspiration today.

Since it is Mer-May I thought I would create a card

using one of Francesca's beautiful mermaids!

Reggae Mermaid

I colored the digi with Spectrum Noir & Arteza markers.

A little glitter glue was added.

I die cut the image with scallop circle dies.

The die cut was added to a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inch card base.

A patterned paper was added to the base.

I punched borders with a Fiskars Bubble Border punch.

The sentiment was die cut with Impression Obsession dies.

I added some dimensional stickers from my stash.
