Christmas Woodland Friends Card

There’s just something magical about woodland creatures celebrating Christmas together! Hey there! Judy V here sharing a Christmas Woodland Friends Card project for Pajama Crafter Stamps.

I started by layering patterned and solid papers in classic Christmas colors onto my 5 x 6 1/2 inch card base.

The woodgrain paper is from my stash.

The pine print on the bottom is from the new Pajama Crafter Stamps Winter Parade Paper Pack. These papers are double sided and perfect for Christmas/winter themed crafting.

The pine boughs on the top are stamped with the Rustic Christmas Owl Stamps.

The badger, bunny, plate of cookies, cocoa cup and sentiment are stamped from the Woodland Christmas Eve Stamps

I stamped the trees from the Happy Camper Stamps.

All images are colored with Prismacolor Pencils and fussy cut.

I added the stamped images to the card background. The badger, bunny and sentiment were popped with foam tape.

This Christmas Woodland Friends Card was so much fun to create. Mixing stamp sets to tell a story is something I love to do. It’s the perfect design for anyone who loves a woodsy, storybook-style Christmas.

Nothing says fall quite like warm colors, pumpkins, and cheerful sunflowers!

Hey there, I'm posting with my latest project for Clear Scraps.

This charming wood gnome decor piece combines all of those seasonal favorites into one adorable project. Perfect for displaying on a mantle, shelf, or entryway, this gnome will bring a touch of whimsy and autumn warmth into your home.

Supplies You’ll Need:

  • Acrylic paints
  • Patterned paper or scrapbook paper (optional)
  • Paintbrushes and/or paint sponges (variety of sizes)
  • Wood glue, craft glue, hot glue
  • Artificial sunflowers, fall floral picks or floral stickers
  • Twine or raffia
  • Sealer or Mod Podge

Assembling the Gnome

I started my project by pulling out the pieces for the gnome.

Choose a pattern paper for the hat or paint if desired.

Trace hat onto the backside of the paper.

Cut tracing and adhere patterned paper to the hat with mod podge

Paint nose and hands

Add color to the body and beard.

Assemble with wood glue

Create the Pumpkin Shaker

Paint the pumpkin back piece.

Adhere 2 of the forms together and attach to the back. Apply color to the 3rd form piece. I used sparkle pens. This will be the top piece.

Add shaker bits. I used a chunky glitter.

Remove the protective film from both sides of the acrylic piece. Adhere to the top piece.

Glue the top to the rest of the shaker.

Adhere the shaker to the gnome. Position and glue the hands in place. Attach the nose.

Add the Base

Trace the larger base piece onto the backside of a patterned paper and cut out.

Adhere the paper with mod podge. Paint the smaller base piece.

Glue together with wood glue.

Attach the gnome to the base.

 Embellish

To complete, I added some layered sunflower stickers and twine to the hat and pumpkin shaker.

This fall gnome is now ready to brighten up your seasonal décor! Place it on a shelf, entryway table, or even give it as a handmade gift to someone special.

This DIY gnome project is simple, customizable, and sure to become a favorite part of your autumn decorating tradition.

Fall Woodland Altered Bottle

Autumn is such a magical time to create! With the cozy colors, falling leaves, and woodland creatures, inspiration is everywhere. Judy here, sharing this Fall Woodland Altered Bottle for CutCardStock—a fun upcycled decor piece that’s perfect for the season.

Project Inspiration

I wanted to turn an ordinary glass bottle into a charming woodland scene filled with fall texture and color. The adorable acorn house and playful squirrel make it feel straight out of a storybook, while the sunflowers and leaves bring that unmistakable autumn warmth.

Cardstock Used

Other Supplies Used

Bottle

Tissue paper for bottle wrapping

Decoupage medium or Mod Podge

Foam brush

Spellbinders Acorn Acres Die Set

Fall patterned ribbon

Twine and small embellishments for finishing touches

Glue, foam tape

See my full tutorial below on our YouTube channel.

How It’s Made

  1. Prep the Bottle – Clean your bottle thoroughly and let it dry. Then cover it with a layer of crinkled tissue paper using Mod Podge to add texture. Once dry, paint or ink over it in warm brown tones.
  2. Create the Scene – Die-cut your acorn house, leaves, flowers, and squirrel using your favorite fall-themed dies. Layer and glue them onto the bottle front, arranging them to create a dimensional woodland scene.
  3. Add Details – Wrap the neck of the bottle with twine, add charms or small leaf embellishments, and finish the base with ribbon.

Crafting Tip

Don’t be afraid to mix textures! The combination of crinkled paper, cardstock layers, and twine adds depth and warmth—perfect for fall projects.

Final Thoughts

This Fall Woodland Altered Bottle was such a joy to make. It’s an easy way to recycle something you already have and turn it into a unique piece of seasonal decor. Whether you’re a papercrafter or a mixed-media enthusiast, this project is sure to inspire your next creative adventure!
