Masculine Christmas Card

Happy Saturday!
It's time for this week's

This week DT was asked to created a Christmas card appropriate for a man .
I chose a simple design using the Winter Flurries Stamp Set.
The tree from the set was stamped 3 times with black ink and fussy cut.
I created snow banks by hand cutting white card stock, layering and
adhering to the bottom of the card. The sentiment which is from the
Christmas Joy Digiscrap Download Bundle was printed on the very bottom piece.
I used a pattern paper from the Happy Christmas 6 x6 Paper Pack.

Hope to see your entry in this week's gallery!

Steampunk Layout

Hey there!
Today I'm sharing a scrapbook layout project for CutCardstock

I had a photo my daughter and her husband had professionally taken when they were engaged. This is another one of those photos I’ve been meaning to scrapbook for quite a while. And since they were dressed in “steampunk” attire, I had to go with steampunk elements.

Base Materials

DCS Discount 12 x 12 Card Stock:Black

DCS Discount 12 x 12 Card Stock: Aqua

Basis 12 x 12 Card Stock: White

Cougar Smooth Card Stock: White – three coordinating 6 x 6 digital papers from Imagine That were printed on this card stock

Royal Sundance Felt Card Stock: Brilliant White – photo printed on this card stock. I like that it gives the phot a “canvas” feel.

Base Construction

Three layers were matted for the layout base. The black cardstock was left 12 x 12 inches. A 12 x 12 piece of Aqua card stock was cut to 11 3/4 x 11 3/4 inches. Basis White was cut to approximately 11 5/8 x 11 5/8 inches. I edged the white with gilding wax.

Die Cuts

Next I die cut some steampunk elements to embellish sing dies from Crafter’s Companion. Two card stocks were used: Stardream Metallic Saturn & Classic Linen Gold Pearl.

I also cut a title using a Silhouette cut file out of the Linen Gold Pearl card stock.

Focals

The photo is matted with Gold Pearl and Saturn card stocks and one of the 6 x 6 digital papers which i cut in half and offset.

Two 6 x 6 digital papers were added to the base.

Our photo is centered onto the base.

Completed Project

The die cuts and title are added to the layout to complete.

I hope you like my Steampunk Layout.

Cozy Christmas

Hi there!
Today I'm sharing 2 cards I created for

I'v used one of this month's new digital stamp sets.

When you purchase this digital set you will receive a zip file containing:
- 6 black and white line drawings
- 3 full colour images
- 5 word images / sentiments

I colored images on both cards with Prismacolor Pencils and fussy cut.

The 1st card simply uses some patterned and glitter paper die cut squares
on a white background. The sentiment was printed onto the background.
I punched the snowflakes out of glitter paper and added gems.

I did some embossing on the 2nd card and popped the Santa image
onto a layered die cut circle frame.
Two coordinating patterned papers were used.
Red peals were added for embellishment.

I hope you check this set out.

Greeting Card Gift Set

Hey there! It’s Judy V here with you today sharing a greeting card gift set project created with card stocks from CutCardStock.

Materials

For this project I have used:

Basis WHITE 80lb Card-stock

DCS Discount Card Stock: Black Card Stock

Chalkboard Prints 6×6 Card Stock pad – Assortment – 36 sheets

Die sets, stamping ink, gel pen, liquid adhesive, double sided tape adhesive, score board and bone folder

Card Bases

My set includes 6 cards with bases cut from card stock.

Die Cuts

My die cutting was done next.

I inked the flowers and leaves on the white unicorn die cuts. Using a silver glitter gel pen I outlined the unicorn head.

The white unicorn die cuts were adhered to the black to give an outline effect.

Assembling the Cards

6 banners were hand cut from a patterned card stock for the cards. I also cut a 7th later for the front of the folio that holds the card set.

Add the banners, circle die cuts, unicorn pieces and sentiments.

A white panel can be added to the inside of the card for messages.

Card Set Holder

I decided to make a holder for the card set and went with a folio style.

Start with a 9 x 12 inch piece of card stock. I used Basis White card stock, but am showing a colored card stock in my photos.

Score at 1/2, 1, 5 1/2, 6 1/2, 11 & 11 1/2 inches

Turn to short side and score at 6 1/4 & 6 3/4 inches

Cut along the 1 & 11 inch score lines on the long side down to the 6 3/4 inch score lines and remove.

In the center cut along the 5 1/2 & 6 1/2 inch score lines from the 6 1/4 inch down to the bottom.

Fold along the 2 score lines in the center, lower and outer edges. Adhere as seen in the photo below.

Two 1/2 inch deep pockets are formed to hold cards and envelopes.

The finished folio measure 4 1/2 x 6 1/4 x 1 inch.

A piece of ribbon about 18 inches long was adhered to the front and back cover.

I added a piece of the patterned card stock measuring 4 x 5 1/4 inches for the front. A banner and die cut circle were added with flowers fussy cut and inked from another piece of patterned card stock.

Add your cards and envelopes

I hope you have enjoyed my Greeting Card Gift Set project!
