Ink Blending & Die Cutting Creates a Pretty Card

If you like making pretty, quick cards, do some ink blending and die cutting.

Hey there! Today I'm sharing a card project for CutCardStock
I like the look of cards with ink blending, but it is not something I do a lot of.
It’s a pretty easy technique and can be done in many ways with
different kinds of inks and blending tools.
Inking on plain card stock is a great alternative to patterned papers.

Materials

I am using this card stock for this card: Cougar Natural Card StockGold Bright Foil Card Stock and DCS Discount Amaranth Pink Card Stock.

Also using inks, blending tool, dies, and adhesives.

Inking

Choose three inks to blend. I am going with a pink, orange and yellow. A panel of Cougar Natural Card Stock is the base and blending is done with a brush.

Die Cutting

Die cut three rectangular panels. Cut two panels from the inked card stock and one from a plain piece of the Cougar Natural Card Stock.

The Gold Bright Foil Card Stock is perfect for focal and sentiment die cuts.

Next, adhere the two inked panels to a piece of the gold card stock and the plain natural panel to a piece of gold foil.

Constructing the Card

Cut a piece of DCS Discount Amaranth Pink Card Stock to 10 x 6 1/2 inches. Score fold along the 10 inch side at 5 inches to form a 5 x 6 1/2 inch card base. Adhere the larger gold panel to the card base.

Center the smaller panel over the larger and adhere with foam tape.

Add the focal die cuts to the center.

The sentiment goes on the bottom of the card.

Embellish the focal die cut with tiny pink pearls to complete the card.

I appreciate you taking a look at my card featuring ink blending and die cutting. I hope you give this technique a try!
