Clear Scraps has a great assortment of stencils that can be used in a variety of ways for your crafting. I really am not one to do a lot of stenciling but I have the 4 x 6 Love Stencil and thought it would make a great card.
So, although my cards look the same, I used the stencil with 3 different mediums on cardstock.
For the first, I taped the stencil down on a panel of white card stock.
I traced inside the lines with a glitter gel pen.
A shimmery ink was then rubbed over the stencils with a finger dauber.
The second card stock panel is stenciled with a gold metallic texture paste.
For the third panel I decided to do some heat embossing.
I applied Versamark ink over the stencil with a finger dauber.
Remove the stencil.
Apply embossing powder over the panel and heat.
Once the stenciling was done, I trimmed each panel down to 4 x 5 1/2 inches.
To put the cards together I created white card bases measuring 5 x 6 1/2 inches.
I cut metallic card stock to 5 x 6 1/2 inches, plain solid color panels to 4 3/8 x 5 7/8 inches, and glitter card stock panels to 4 1/4 x 5 3/4 inches. A 1/4 inch strip of metallic card stock was cut to 4 3/8 inches. 4 hearts were die cut to add as embellishment.
Adhere the metallic card stock to the card base and the stenciled panel to the glitter card stock.
Take the stenciled piece and adhere to the solid card stock piece.
Adhere to the card base.
Add the die cut hearts to the cards to complete.
