I added several metal pieces to my
altered notebook project.

using Light Bulb image and sentiment from one of our sponsors

Our other sponsors are

I printed the images and sentiment on vellum
and did a little coloring on the light bulbs with a silver gel pen.
I added stickers to each bulb.
I also did a little inking on the strip of metallic card stock
down the center of the notebook along with
adding some clear texture paste over a stencil.
There are 2 metal corner pieces, 2 clock hand pieces with metal brads
and 3 other pieces grouped together.
The keys are chipboard.

Our theme for this week is
"Emboss It"!

I created an altered journal.

using Josie from one of our sponsors this week

Prize: $10 Gift Certificate

Here are a few more photos.

The image was colored with pencils and gel pens.
I took 2 different papers, tore into pieces and adhered
randomly to the cover with gel medium to create some texture.
I used some texture paste and a stencil for a little more texture.
I dry embossed & inked 3 die cut circles.
My embellishments are dazzles stickers.
My title is chipboard that I painted with metallic acrylic paint.
I finished up with some gems.

We hope to see your creations this week at

August at Cute As A Button

Happy August all!
We have a new challenge starting today at

As always our theme is
Anything Goes!

I thought this image would be perfect
to use on the cover of a journal,
so I took a composition book and turned it into one!
The bow on the side ties it closed.
I colored the image with pencils and fussy cut.
The title is chipboard which I primed with gesso
and painted with acrylic paint.
I added a dazzles sticker above the steam from the cup.
The finishing touch was the enamel dots.

We hope you'll join us!
We always love to see what you create!
