Cute As A Button Inspiration for February

Hey there everyone!

It's my turn to provide a little inspiration over at

Cute As A Button Inspiration Showcase!

This month I decided to create a wedding card using

"Our Wedding Day".

I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and fussy cut.

Then I chose a background DP paper from

Joy's Vintage Papers by Paper Pizazz.

I matted the DP with gray card stock to go on

my pink card base.

Next I decided to use Renaissance Jubilee Spellbinder's dies

to frame the couple.  The frame was adhered to the DP panel.

I pulled out some pearls in various sizes.

The image was added to the frame and is now

ready for some embellishing.

And...wahlah, a finished project!

I created an easel card using "To Have & To Hold" from one our sponsors

and I went with some embossing with a floral EF

and added ribbon flowers on the scalloped die cut.

January Challenge at MHKDesigns

Happy New Year everyone!

We're starting the new year with a change at

MHKDesigns!

Our monthly challenges will now start on the 

first of the month and run until the last day.

Winners will be announced on the 15th of the following month.

We still give an inspiration photo to use

New Beginnings

Well, we've made it to another year!

And our challenge  this week at

Glitter 'N' Sparkle 

is all about new beginnings!

I decided to create a wedding card that says it all

using  "I Do" from our sponsor 

A Day for Daisies

I put this card together fairly quickly 

just doing a little bit of embossing,

a little die cutting and 

printing a sentiment on a vellum strip.

The image was colored with pencils and fussy cut.

Cute As A Button June Inspiration

Hello all!

Today is my day to share my inspiration post at

Cute As A Button Inspiration Showcase!

And, since it's June I thought I would do a Wedding card project.

I used Here Comes the Bride.

I colored my image with pencils, added stickles
and then chose some solid card stock in white and shimmer pink.

Next, I cut pink and white mats to fit my 5 1/2 x 6 card base
and used some Spellbinders dies to cut 3 other layers.

I embossed the white mat.
layered the die cuts. pulled out some embellishments:
ribbon, gems, paper roses

Everything was added to the card base

and the project is complete!

I love the way it turned out!

MHKDesigner Inspiration for June

Hello all!

I'm here with my MHKDeisgner inspiration for June

June is typically thought of as the month of weddings,

so I thought I would create a wedding card.

using With This Ring

I took the heart image and printed in

3 different sizes and layered with pop dots.

I added a pearl embellishment and the sentiment

which was die cut.

The background was embossed and 

I added ribbon and a bow.
