With soft florals, a touch of shimmer, and a dimensional design, this piece makes a perfect gift or a lovely addition to your desk. I’ll show you how easy this project is to   create with premium cardstock from CutCardStock.

Other Supplies

Constructing the Holder

Start by cutting a piece of Stardream Metallic Lagoon cardstock to 8 1/2 x 8 1/4 inches.

Score at 4 & 4 1/2 inches along the 8 1/2 inch side and 5 1/4 inches along the 8 1/4 inch side.

Fold upward and burnish along the 5 1/4 inch score line. Cut at slight angle along the 2 score lines in the center up to the 5 1/4 inch score line.

Remove this piece. See photos below.

Apply adhesive to the outside edges. I am using redline tape. You can use glue.

Fold up and adhere, to form pockets.

Insert notepads into the pockets.

Adhere seam binding around the center of the front and back of the cover for a closure element.

Embellishing the Front

Cut a piece of Cougar White Smooth Cardstock to 4 3/4 x 5 inches. Emboss with an embossing folder for a texture element.

Adhere this panel to the front cover.

Create a frame by die cutting a piece of Stardream Metallic Aquamarine with 2 nesting frames.

Stamp sentiment onto Cougar White Smooth Cardstock . Punch or die cut a butterfly out of Stardream Metallic Lagoon.

Die cut flowers with Lessebo Blossom Pink and Lessebo Bubble Gum Pink. Foliage is cut with DCS Textured Pearl Green Curry. I cut flower center out of DCS Canvas Textured Rubber Ducky Yellow.

Complete by adhering the frame, flowers, foliage, sentiment and butterfly. Add pearls
to the center of the butterfly and the center of the large light pink flower.

I love how this project combines soft, feminine details with practical use. It’s a great way to showcase your favorite cardstock and dies while creating something truly

useful!

Head & Neck Cancer Month Card

I'm popping in today with a card I created with
inspiration from Craft Roulette Episode #312.

This card became very personal for me when I realized
the parameters to be used are easily represented by
creating a card appropriate for
Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Month, which is this month, April.

I have a nephew who underwent very aggressive treatment for
this very cancer, exactly a year ago, in a Clinical Trial at Mayo Clinic.
Thankfully, he is doing well after completing.

Anyway, moving on.
The parameters followed for this card are:

Project: My card is a slimline design measuring 4 x 9 inches.
Colors: My insect colors come from the Mourning Cloak Butterfly
Element: April - Head & Neck Cancer Awareness Month
Random: I punched notches in each corner

Products used to create this card are from

Awareness Stamps - focal image, Brave & Strong sentiments
Unstoppable Stamps - Unstoppable sentiment
Circle Peek A Boo Die - backing the focal

Thanks for stopping by!

Cherish Card

Today I’m sharing a delicate and dreamy handmade card featuring Summer Bride from Conie Fong Art & Design. I was inspired to keep everything soft and elegant to complement the graceful bride illustration and flowing details.

Design Inspiration

The image itself has such a gentle, romantic vibe—with the flowing hair, floral crown, and bouquet—that I wanted the rest of the card to enhance, not overpower it. I chose a monochromatic blue palette to give the card a serene and timeless feel, while letting the florals in the image add that perfect pop of color.

How It Came Together

I started by printing the image onto smooth cardstock and coloring it with Prismacolor Pencils. I focused on soft blending in the dress and added dimension to the hair with layered tones. The flowers were finished with brighter shades to draw the eye.

Next, I created a layered panel using pearl white cardstock and added a beautifully detailed blue die-cut frame to highlight the image. The frame adds depth and elegance without taking attention away from the focal point.

To bring in a bit of softness and texture, I wrapped seam binding around the panel and tied a bow on the left side, finishing it with a small gem for a touch of sparkle.

Finally, I added the “Cherish” die cut sentiment at the bottom in matching blue cardstock to tie the entire design together.

Finishing Touches

Mounting everything onto a coordinating blue card base completed the look. The result is a soft, romantic card that would be perfect for a wedding, anniversary, or simply to celebrate someone special.

Final Thoughts

I love how this card turned out—elegant, calming, and full of charm. Conie Fong’s images always make it easy to create something truly special!

Simple Quilled Floral Card

Have you ever tried paper quilling? This technique adds such a unique dimension to handmade cards, and pairing it with quality cardstock makes the details really stand out. Hey there! Judy here today sharing a simple quilled, floral thank you card featuring beautiful cardstock from CutCardStock.

Each flower has a bright yellow quilled center, purple outline petals, and flowing green quilled vines that add movement and elegance to the design. The delicate curls of the vines bring a whimsical feel to the card.

Card Base/Background

For this design, start by creating the card base and background.

Create a 5 1/2 inch square card base with Classic Linen Solar White 100 lb Cardstock.

Cut a mat layer with DCS Textured Plum Purple Cardstock measuring 5 1/4 inches square.

DCS Textured Hydrangea Purple Cardstock is cut to approximately 4 3/4 inches square for a second mat.

Adhere the two purple mats to the white card base.

Flower Panels

Die cut three stitched square panels from Classic Linen Solar White 100 lb Cardstock. The squares measure 1 3/4 inches.

Create the flower centers by rolling 1/8 inch x 8 1/2 inch strips of DCS Canvas Textured Rubber Ducky Yellow Cardstock into tight coils. Use a slotted quilling tool for this step. Roll all the way to the end. Pull off the tool and glue the end.. Glue to the center of the white square.

Form the flower petals with 1/8 x 1 3/4 inch pieces of DCS Textured Plum Purple Cardstock.

Curve the strips by pulling between the thumb and fore finger. This helps to shape the petals. Hold the strips with tweezers and run the edge through the glue. Place the ends against the flower center and shape the petals into loops.

Form quilled vines with 1/8 inch strips in various lengths of Lessebo Hunter Green Cardstock. Loosely roll one end of the strips with the quilling tool.

Die cut the “Thanks Very Much” sentiment from Classic Linen Solar White 100 lb Cardstock.

Finishing

Adhere the squares and sentiment to the card.

The quilled “vines” go on last to complete.

This card is a great example of how combining paper quilling with layered cardstock can create a striking handmade design. The vibrant colors and dimensional flowers make it perfect for sending a heartfelt thank you.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Chip and Dip Week Card

We are celebrating National Chip and Dip Week at Pajama Crafter Stamps!

Yep! That's right! National Chip and Dip Day is tomorrow, March 23rd and we thought it would be so fun to celebrate! You'll see inspiration from the Design team all week.

Hey there! I'm here with my playful and pun-filled inspiration card that's perfect for the occasion. It's all about bright colors, happy vibes, and a little bit of humor—because let’s be honest, we’ve all been late with a birthday card at least once!

Coloring the Characters

The stars of this card are these adorable chip characters from the Chip Chip Hooray Stamps—full of personality and perfect for this theme! I colored them with Prismacolor Pencils.

Card Base

My card base is red with a layer of cheerful yellow cardstock on top to really make everything pop.

The top white cardstock panel features a fun confetti pattern paper from the Birthday Bash Paper Pack, which instantly sets the party mood. I cut the pattern paper with the Stitched Scalloped Border Die.

Adhering yellow cardstock pieces cut with the same die set along the top and bottom edges, add that extra touch of whimsy and movement. I stamped "Happy Belated Birthday", from the stamp set, on the bottom border piece.

This panel is adhered to the card.

Focal

Next, I add the bowl of dip to the left side of the card, along with die cut candles from the Bundle of Wishes Layering Die.

Add the other 2 chips to complete the scene.

The “Well, I’m a big dip” sentiment is the last thing to add. It really brings it all together making this card ideal for those “oops, I missed your birthday moments. Stamp on white cardstock, trim and mat with yellow.

Final Thoughts

I kept the layout clean so the bright colors and cute images could shine. A little layering, bold borders, and that festive background are all this card needs to feel complete.

This chip and dip card was so much fun to create, and I love how the pun ties everything together! Be sure to check out all the inspiration for Chip and Dip Week —you’re going to love what the team has created.
