Up-cycle a Wreath with Chipboard Embellishments

Hi there! Today I'm sharing an up-cycled wreath project created for Clear Scraps.

I am taking a wreath made several years ago and adding 2 sets of Fancy Butterfly Chipboard Embellishments and a Mini Shaker Flower.

To add color to the butterflies I first paint with gold paint.

Next I pull out a piece of patterned paper

Trace the butterflies onto the patterned paper and fussy cut.

Adhere paper to back of the butterflies.

The flower shaker is pulled out.

Using the same paper as above, I trace the back solid piece from the shaker set and fussy cut.

Add paper to the flower and glue 2 of the chip form pieces on top

Paint the 3rd form piece.

Add shaker bits to flower

Remove protective film from both sides of the acrylic piece, adhere to the top and glue to shaker base.

Our chipboard embellishments and shaker are finished.

I take out the wreath.

Decided to add a few flowers, so I punched some out of solid color card stock.

Assemble flowers

Add chipboard embellishments and flowers to complete my project.

I hope you like my project and I’ve given you some inspiration for incorporating chipboard embellishments and shakers into your own projects.
