Sunflower Table Decor

Hey there!

Do you like entertaining? Are you looking for ideas for decorating a beautiful table for, say, a summertime dinner party? I may have something you like and can create yourself!

It's Judy here sharing three sunflower themed table decor projects. They are created with card stock. You can find some beautiful card stocks at CutCardStock. They have great specials on selected card stocks each month. For the month of July you can get deals on card stock that are gold and silver. My projects feature golds.

I'm showing you how to create a centerpiece, place cards and napkin rings. The main item used is card stock, but also uses items you may have lying around the house.

Flower quilling dies from Crafter's Companion are used to make the sunflowers These die cuts are layered and rolled to form the flowers. You can find other dies or templates if you don't have access to these dies to use for your sunflowers.

I cut 4 pieces of the Gingersnap Card Stock for the center of each large flower and 2 for the small flowers. The large flowers use 3 small and 3 large petal pieces. Small flowers are created with 3 small petal pieces.

Next I inked the small petals being used for the large flowers with a brown ink pad to give a little dimension.

The place card is made by cutting a piece of the Classic Linen Card Stock to 5 x 3 1/2 inches and folding in half to form a card that measures 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches.

The napkin ring base is a toilet paper roll. Cut to 1 inch wide and cover with a piece of 5 3/4 x 1 inch piece of the Classic Linen Card.

1 small flower is used on these 2 pieces. I die cut some flourishes from Olive Green Card Stock for a little embellishment.

The place card is ready for adding a name.

Slip your napkin through the ring using your favorite fold.

7 large flowers were put together for the centerpiece. I used a dessert sized clear, plastic plate for the centerpiece base. The plate is turned upside down. The the flowers are glued around the upper edge with a low temp glue gun.

I continued adding the remaining flowers. Some of the bare spots between the flowers are covered with die cut leaves.

Once all the flowers and leaves are added, place a vase or candle holder onto the center of the base. I used a vase and candle purchased from Dollar Tree.

There you go! You have a coordinated centerpiece, place card and napkin ring that will add a little something extra to your table.

I hope you like my sunflower projects and have provided you with a little inspiration!
