CASE-ing Christmas Challenge #19

It's time for the even team to CASE another card at

This week we have Daen'Ys pretty card to inspire us.

Here's my take.

I chose the color scheme and the tree elements as my primary inspiration
using this pretty "flake tree" image from
Beccy's Place
which is part of the "Tell It to the Trees" set

Take a look at the CASE card and show us what you come up with at

DTBST #280 Happy Birthday

It's a new
Dare to Be Sassy Thursday
challenge at

This week's theme Happy Birthday to You!
Create a birthday themed project.

I used Katniss Sassy on Fire for my card.
She was colored with Spectrum Noir markers
and I added gold and red stickles to her dress.
Love the way it turned out!
I fussy cut the image and popped her with
foam dots on the die cut circles. The DP is
DCWV Foiled Elegance.
The sentiment was stamped and die cut and ribbon
and gems were added to finish.

Be sure to visit

SSD May 2015 Facebook Progressive Challenge

has a new FB Progressive Challenge for the month of May.

You are to create a project using "Josephine Steampunk Frame".

You can get this image FOR FREE if you play along in our challenge.
Please visit the Facebook Group for the challenge rules.

Here's what I came up with.

I decided to go with an easel card design.
The image was colored with Spectrum Noir markers and gel pens,
fussy cut and popped on the background with foam dots.
The red card stock I used was embossed with 2 different embossing folders.
The steampunk elements are Dazzles stickers that I
back with gray card stock and attached with foam dots.
I finished with a label stamped  with the sentiment, a Dazzles border and red gems.

Hope you join in the fun this month at
Sassy Studio Designs Facebook Group

HOC May Challenge

Can you believe it's already May?
Well it is and that means we have a new challenge at

This month we want to see you use the Bokeh Effect.

Here's what I came up with.

I've never used this technique before and it took me
about 3 tries before I was happy with the end result.
I inked up the background watercolor paper with 3 colors
of ink and then added the circles on top using a template I made with
different sizes if circle dies and acetate. The white circles were added randomly
with an ink dabber. My image from Beary Wishes was colored with
Spectrum Noir markers and fussy cut. I layered a doily
on a die cut circle and added the image and die cut sentiment label.

I hope you give the Bokeh Effect a try if you haven't
before and show us what you come up with.
You can check out the rest of the DT's
creations all through the month.
