This month's theme is
Techniques We Love

I love using embossing folders for my card backgrounds on
white card stock adding color with ink.
This makes it super easy to match the overall theme of your project.

I used 2 Prickley Pear stamps sets,
I also used coordinating dies,

I colored with Castle Arts Soft Touch Pencils.
After inking the flowers and leaves on my embossed panel,
I added a little glitter glue to the flower centers.
Ribbon was added.

Head on over to Instagram and get started with the Hop!

Masculine Birthday Card

Do you make a lot of masculine cards?

I don’t know why, but, I just do not create a lot of masculine cards.

And, it’s not that they are harder to do than more feminine cards.

In fact, they probably are easier to make.

So, I decided to do a masculine birthday card and

even threw in a matching envelope for

my first CutCardStock project this month.

Materials

Stardream Metallic Card Stock in CopperOpal and Saturn

This card stock is the Monthly Specialfor May.

Cougar NATURAL 80 lb. cardstock 8.5×11

3-D Embossing Folder, Square Die, Star Dies, Sentiment Dies, Guitar Stamp, Ink Pads, Adhesive

Card Base

I started with my card base that measures 5 x 6 1/2 inches.

It was cut from a piece of the Cougar Natural Card Stock. Cut to 10 x 6 1/2 inches, score at 5 inches along the 10 inch side and fold.

A piece of Saturn Stardream Metallic was cut to 5 x 6 1/2 inches. Copper Stardream Metallic was cut to 4 3/4 x 6 1/2 inches.

I cut a piece of Opal Stardream Metallic to 4 5/8 x 6 1/8 inches. This piece was embossed with the Gemini 3D Geometric Triangles embossing folder.

Layer the 3 pieces Stardream Metallic card stock onto the card base.

4 1 inch squares were cut out of the Saturn and Copper card stock to total 8. These were cut in half and arranged onto a strip of the Cougar Natural card stock measuring @ 5 7/8 x 1 3/8 inches.

 See photo

Die cut 2 stars and sentiment.

Stamp the guitar onto Cougar Natural with brown ink and

heat emboss with clear embossing powder.

Fussy cut.

Putting it Together

See photos

Envelope

Take an A7 envelope like the Leader Opaque LEE Envelopes

Stamp in the lower left hand corner of the front side.

I added 3 mini pearls to the guitar to finish.

Thanks so much for taking a look at my Masculine Birthday Card project. I hope to have provided some inspiration to you to create more masculine cards.

As always, we would love for you to connect with us over on the CutCardStock Facebook Page and the Facebook Group Creating with Card Stock for more inspiration.

In My Thoughts

Hi there!
Today I have a pretty simple card I put together for

It was created with a cute stamp set called

My Best Friend is a clear, photopolymer stamp set illustrated by Kayla Ruble. It measures 4 x 6 inches and contains five images and three sentiments.

Sentiments are:

THANKS FOR BEING MY BEST FRIEND
YOU'RE IN MY THOUGHTS
BEEN MISSING YOU

Made in the USA.

Coordinates with the My Best Friend die set (sold separately).

I stamped this cute little chihuahua with a tan colored ink and
added just a little color and a few spots with Castle Arts Soft Touch Pencils.
The patterned papers used are digital.
I fussy cut the little dog and popped him with foam tape onto
a plain white background which I added a little bit of ink to.
The sentiment was stamped with one of the stamps in the set.
I hand cut the banners.

We would love for you to connect with us in the

Conie Fong Little Mermaid

Happy Friday!
Popping in this afternoon to post this tag I created for

I used Conie's newest digi, Little Mermaid.
It is MerMay after all.

I colored up this cutie with Prismacolor Pencils.
A little glitter glue was also added.
She was fussy cut and added to a tag that measures 4 x 9 inches.
I added a shell patterned paper from a Craft Smith 12 x 12 paper pad called
Mermaid Coast.
The patterned border pieces are from the same pad.
I added 3 pieces of a sort of mesh like gold ribbon and
popped the little mermaid onto with foam tape.
My "you are beautiful" sentiment was fussy cut from the paper pad I used.
Ribbons were added to the top of the tag and topped with a fussy cut starfish.

I do hope you'll check this digi out along with all the other
fabulous digis available in Conie's Etsy Shop.

Also, I hope you'll join us over on Facebook at

You'll find lots of inspiration there and we welcome you to share your
