Christmas Shaker Ornaments
Hi there! It’s Judy here with my latest project for Clear Scraps.
I have created 3 Christmas Shaker Ornaments using a Mini Shaker Bell, Mini Shaker Bulb and Mini Shaker Tall Bulb. Each shaker includes 1-chipboard back, 3 chipboard forms and 1 acrylic divider .
Starting with the chipboard back piece, trace onto the backside of a patterned paper.
Cut out the tracing.
Adhere the paper to the back piece.
Layer and adhere 2 of the chipboard forms.
Next I added color to the front of the 3rd chipboard form with a metallic marker.
Glitter glue was added.
Remove the protective film from the acrylic dividers and adhere to the backside of the chipboard form.
Add shaker pieces to the layered pieces from above.
Adhere the acrylic piece to complete the shaker.
Die cutting was done for the ornament embellishments.
I layered die cuts.
Punched some evergreen sprigs.
Adhered the evergreen pieces to the front of the shakers.
Add the die cuts.
To add hangers, I cut pieces of 1/8 inch wide ribbon and taped to the back of the shakers.
I traced the back of the ornaments onto some glitter card stock and cut out.
Adhere to the back of the shakers.
Project is complete!

Let's Create a Holiday Decor Piece
Oh it’s that time of year again! Time to think about pulling out our holiday decor.
Hey there! It’s Judy here and I am sharing my latest project for CutCardStock which is fun to put together. It is a holiday tree decor piece. I show how to create one size, but it would be easy to adapt the size and maybe create a whole grouping. And decorating the tree can be done in any color and/or theme.
Materials
DCS Green GLITTER Heavyweight 12×12 Discount Card Stock
DCS White GLITTER Heavyweight 12×12 Discount Card Stock
Lessebo Colors Premium DAWN MAROON 83lb Cardstock
Lessebo Colors HUNTER GREEN 83lb Cardstock
Bright FOIL 10 pt Cardstock 8.5×11
Poinsettia, border and circle dies
Greenery, berry sprays, mini beaded garland
Hot glue, wet glue, double sided tape
Tree Construction
Start this holiday decor project by cutting pieces for the tree. An 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of the Kraft Chipboard is cut in a triangle shape. Mark the center ( 4 1/4″) at the top of the 8 1/2″ side and cut from the lower corner to the center mark on both sides.
Lay the kraft piece onto the backside of a 12″ x 12″ piece of the Green Glitter Card Stock. Score along the three edges and fold the edges up.
Trim the card stock to about an inch all the way around. Cut diagonally on each corner.
Glue the edges to the backside of the triangle.
Cut three pieces of the Kraft Chipboard to 1″ x 4″.
Layer together with hot glue.
Glue to the backside of the tree in the center at the bottom.
Tree Decoration
I die cut three borders out of the White Glitter Card Stock. The negative pieces of the border are kept to use.
Adhere the borders and negative pieces to the front of the tree diagonally with a wet glue.
Trim the borders with the edge of the tree.
Die cut stars and circles out of the Gold Foil Card Stock to add. The small little circles are created with a hand punch.
Add these pieces to the tree.
Base Construction
We need a base to hold the tree.
Cut two pieces of Kraft Chipboard to 8 1/2″ x 3 1/2″. Adhere these two pieces together.
Eight pieces of the chipboard are cut to 1″ x 4″. Glue four pieces together to form two supports. Hot glue these two pieces to the base horizontally, leaving a gap between big enough to fit the tree trunk.
Six pieces of chipboard are cut to 1″ x 2″. Adhere three pieces together to form two smaller supports. Place these two pieces vertically on top of the horizontal pieces and glue. Leave a 1″ gap between for the tree trunk.
You will hot glue the tree trunk between the support pieces.
Finishing
To finish, paint the base with white acrylic paint.
Cut a piece of White Glitter Card Stock to 8 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ to cover the base. Line up the 8 1/2″ side against the horizontal support pieces and mark the edges. Measure the depth of the horizontal pieces and mark on the white piece. Cut this area away.
Adhere to the base.
Start adding the greenery, covering the support pieces.
Next, die cut poinsettias and leaves.
Layer the poinsettia die cuts to form three flowers and add gold glitter dots to the centers.
Add the flowers to the base covering the supports.
Leaves help cover the supports as well.
I cut individual berries to add to the greenery.
