Diorama Wedding Card
Hey there! It’s Judy VZ here with some inspiration for you today! I have created a diorama wedding card constructed with folded cards from CutCardStock as the base.
Having folded cards on hand as part of your supplies gives you a great “jump start” for projects. And, they happen to be on special for the month of January. So be sure and check them out HERE.
2 Stardream Metallic Gatefold 5″ x 7 ” Invitations in Ruby were used for my card.
Looking through my die sets I chose some I thought would work well together.
I used one of the dies from the Gemini Kissing Gate Create-A-Card set and cut out of Stardream Metallic Pluto 8.5 x 11 Card Stock. This die measures approximately 5 x 5 inches. I left about an inch of card stock around all 4 edges of the die to allow for scoring on the sides and the height to match the card base.
I chose Tutti Designs Wedding Canopy and Forever Word Set dies and cut out of Curious Metallic Flat A7 Card in Pink Quartz. Die’Sire Elegance Ribbon Threading Die set was used for a border with the same Pink Quartz card.
I used a 5 inch square Gemini die to cut the center of the card base front.
To create a sky and grass feel for the background of the card, I inked a piece of A7 Curious Metallic Cryogen White flat card.
It’s time to piece everything together. Adhere the inked card to the back of the card base.
Next take the Kissing Gate piece and score down both sides at 1 inch.
Adhere the scored areas of this piece to the inside of the card base.
Take the Wedding Canapy and Bride & Groom die cuts and adhere each to the center of a piece of 6 x 1 inch card stock that is scored at 1/2 and 5 1/2 inches. I used clear acetate to attach these.
Attach the canopy piece on both side of the card base first and then the bride & groom.
I added some mini flowers to the canopy and adhered the front piece to the base.
Complete the design by adding the die cut border piece and sentiment. Embellish with mini flowers.
The finished card measures 5 x 7 x 2 1/2 inches.
I hope you like my diorama wedding card project and invite you to connect with us over on the CutCardStock Facebook Page.
