Birthday in Pink & Gray

So, I have this thing at work where I make birthday cards
for the doctors and staff at all 5 of our offices.
One day a couple of months ago one of the techs
called me down in my office and let me know
that her birthday is in November and she likes elephants.

Well I knew at that time that I wanted to use an image from
from a set called "Retail Therapy".

I had the image and then found some additional
inspiration from a couple of current challenges.
I used stripes to enter the challenge at
Just Us Girls.

I used the sketch at
Paper Craft Crew Challenges.

And, because it's a birthday card I'm linking to a 3rd challenge at
Seize the Birthday.

Thanks for taking a look!

Snow Angels

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
I have a quick post to share today.
This is one of my DT cards for this month's releases at

I made an easel card using
"Snow Angels".

What a fun set this is to work with! I liked all 3
snow angels so much I had incorporate all of them in my project.
The images were colored with Spectrum Noir markers
to match the DP from  Recollections and fussy cut.
The frame was cut with 2 old Sizzix Originals dies,
Rectangle Frame and Jelly Frame.
I printed the sentiment from the set and die cut
with Lifestyle Crafts Nesting Frames.
The border was punched with a Fiskars border punch
and I finished up with some cotton for the snow (or clouds!)
and the tiny white snowflakes which are actually buttons.

I hope you'll visit
and check out her other new sets.
Then hop over to the Beccy's Place Blog
and join in on the month long Holiday Card Challenge
where you'll have multiple chances to win
Beccy's Place images every day!

Thanks for taking a look!

The sentiment was stamped with a Holiday Greetings
stamp from Hot Off the Press and embossed with gold
embossing powder from Ranger and die cut with a
Taylored Expressions label die.
The DP's and doily are from Recollections and
the gold enamel dots are Teresa Collins.

CASE-ing Christmas November

So how's everyone doing with your
Christmas cards this year?

If you need to get started or get some more made
I hope you'll check out
for some inspiration!

Here's my latest Christmas card.

This is my CASE of my
teammate Donna N.

I love the CAS feel of her card, although
CAS is not really my style so
I used the 3 trees and red ribbon and bow
as inspiration for my creation.

What would you take from Donna's card
to create your own? We can't wait to see
what you come up with!

Thanks for taking a look!

HOC Technique Challenge

It's a new month and that means a new monthly challenge at

This month we have a technique challenge.
We would like to see cards using
the Stamped Punch Window technique.

Here is what I came up with.

I started by stamping a Stampendous stamp called
Fireside Ivy on ivory colored cardstock.
Next I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers.
I matted the outside of the image with brown card stock.
Next I took a Sizzix Framlits oval die and cut out the center of the image.
The outside piece was then popped with foam tape on top of a green mat.
Next the center of the image was place inside the cut out
and the whole piece was added to the card base.

We hope you join in at House of Cards and show us your
Stamped Punch Window creation.
